Overall a good buying experience. I drove 230 miles from New Jersey to buy a 2010 750 LiX from Nicholas and BMW Newport because they are a class act. Nicholas delivered customer satisfaction and 5 star service. BMW should be proud to have such an accomplished Internet Manager as Nicholas who worked with me every step of the way. After spending 2.5 years searching for 750's online to find the right car and the right value, I found BMW Newport to have the best overall value. Nicholas answered all my questions in a timely manner, and we agreed on a fair price for the trade. I also purchased the Platinum warranty with this car which I would recommend with the loaded electronics for piece of mind. Drove the car back home 230 more miles. I couldn't be happier. The car was delivered off the showroom floor and Nicholas literally drove it out the door the day I arrived. After a nice cappucino, Nicholas spent the better half of the morning going through the myriad of features within the cabin. The electronic AWD came in handy as the snow from the freak Oct '11 storm had just started as I was leaving the dealership. The only thing that could have been better is if I lived closer I would enjoy the 5 star service that the Dealership provides. The dealerships in NJ around my area are not rated as high. If I am in town I will be sure to stop in and get a little service if I need it since with BMW you can pretty much go to any dealership for service. Nicholas and BMW Newport, keep up the great work! I had my car that week, was able to handle the payments by phone and the day we picked the car up was such a pleasant experience. Mike was so genuinely helpful, reviewing our phone conversation, going over all of the financing and showing us the car. He also took as much time as we needed to answer all of our questions, and we had many! When it came time to go over the insurances, because of Mike, we felt confident that we had made the right decision by purchasing the tire protection & end of lease insurance. Sales reps like Mike are few and far between & I am very happy that I decided to make that call and was able to work with him. Now I am driving a gorgeous car & look forward to working with Newport BMW in the future. Keep up the great work, you should be very proud to have delivered such exceptional service! 1998 BMW 323ic vert; basically a summer toy but still a great car. Sunday evening I go to open the trunk to get my brief case and computer - no open. Key turns, remote locks and unlocks, but the release latch apparently isn't engaging. Go on-line and find a number of possible problems and solutions. When it was coming down to taking a hole saw and cutting through the trunk lid I figured this is a job for the dealership. Show up at BMW of Newport first thing in the morning; no appointment. Jerry Haas greats me with a cheerful attitude and says no problem - we'll get the shop foreman right on it. After about 45 minutes he comes to see me in the waiting area and tells me it's a little more complicated that originally anticipated, but hey - no problem! We meet with the shop foreman who explains the whole situation and asks for permission to take some drastic measures. I need my computer so it's go time. Another 30 minutes and they're in. Jerry tells me they need to order some replacement parts; will take a day. How about we put you in a loaner and get you going on your way. I'm pleasantly surprised, grab the keys and head off to work. Next day Jerry calls and tells me the car is all set and I can pick it up that night. Get the car - good as new! I've got to tell you, BMW of Newport treated me like I had just bought a 7 series from them. I couldn't be happier with the service, and although the repair was somewhat costly, I understand that there was a ton of labor time and overall feel the price was fair. After having a very bad experience with BMW of Watertown, CT it was a pleasure to work with the people of BMW of Newport. The atomosphere is like "Casual Friday", professional but also relaxed. Everyone here seems to really enjoy cars, especially BMW, but are also knowlegeable about the competition. I came out of an 2001 Audi S4, and was looking for a similar car -- and the 335i 6 speed that I ultimately ended up with more than meets that objective. I say utiimately, because I had a car bought in Watertown that was an excellent car, but not a match for me. To do a trade after owning a car only 5 months is not the way to do things, but BMW of Newport gave me a fair deal. Sure, they are in the business to make money and not a charity, but came across with a deal that was right. Now, I will not trade for many years as I got the right car this time. I found Dustin to be agressive in the most positive sense. He got the deal done, but is not pushy. Bill explained financing to me in a manner that was most beneficial to me. Rich, the GM, did a favor for me after closing the deal. Jason is a tough bargainer, but fun to deal with. Good Luck, BMW of Newport More
