Beware of South Shore BMW!!! I realize how important it is to do research before bringing your car In for service, especially into South Shore BMW of Rockland. I brought my BMW into South Shore with the expectation they would deliver "World Class Service" as the advertise. My car was qualified for a class action suit against BMW for oil consumption, and was a free warranty service, at no cost to customer, yet somehow they still managed to charge me for it. My car is in good condition and fairly new and had no noises prior to bringing it in for service. On return of my car, the substandard repairs and negligence was obvious seeing they were supposed to be correcting the smoking from the tailpipe, per order of the warranty, and now was ticking from the motor and squealing. They have been evasive given me the run around thus far, and haven't been honest. I was told from xx, a service advisor that u would be charged 2 hours of diagnostic time as a formality to figure out what caused their repair to fail. That's 2 hours of diagnostic time on top of what I was initially charged for this free warranty work.The best they could come up with was their was metal in the motor. That's it!! Still haven't told me why!! The service advisor as well as the technician involved told me this isnt the first time they've seen this after completing this campaign and it's a common issue they have had to open PUMA cases for. So why is their metal shavings in my engine? I know why, cause they replaced several INTERNAL engine components. Valve seals, oil separators, oil return lines. oil return seals both turbo chargers, fuel pump and harness, auxiliary water pump, Vanos unit, solenoids, valve cover gaskets and the list goes on of components they replaced. All of these parts I listed are found INSIDE of the engine. I left several messages for the parts and service director Tom Toppan, whom never return MY calls. In a review my girlfriend left explaining her terrible experience he stated he explained what was going on but to whom? Certainly not to me, nor her so who did Tom Toppan talk to exactly? He boldly replied to the review saying that the repairs done had nothing to do with my engine. Now anyone reading this review think to yourself, If you went in for heart surgery and had a valve replacement done and felt an irregular beat or had complications what would you do? The fact of the matter is simple, this is the FIRST service ever done on the car since I've had this vehicle and South Shore BMW is the LAST dealership to service my car. I only was able to drive the vehicle 1000 miles since this took place. I would like some answers South Shore BMW of Rockland!!!! More
