When I originally dropped off my car the attendant accused me of causing the defect. I told him my husband washed the car over the weekend and the shark fin antenna cover fell off. The attendant immediately said, well you can’t drive these through the car wash it damages them. Then I said, no, my husband hand washes the cars in the driveway. Furthermore all the car washes are closed due to COVID 19. No listening skills by cutting me off or simply asking questions to clarify how it happened. Followed attendant into the building. Then another employee chimed in(maybe some kind of supervisor) “you had to do something because they just don’t fall off”. I snapped back and said don’t accuse me. Who do you think you are. My husband was there and said, hey I washed the car. When drying the car the piece just fell off. My husband said parts of the car should not fall of when a towel touches it. Both employees then said, well we have to ask Hyundai if this will be covered under the warranty (In a condescending tone). My husband said it better. The warranty said we are responsible for maintaining the vehicle, And washing it is a form of maintenance. There is no way we are paying for a piece that just fell off. Then my husband asked if the person who installed it over torqued the screws? Or maybe that batch of plastic was bad to begin with, why does it have to immediately be our fault. It’s under warranty, what’s the problem? Both people I dealt with when dropping off the car were accusatory before listening to what actually happened. Eventually they fixed it, but the attendant left a voice mail stating they fixed it this time as a courtesy. Why didn’t they put that language in the paperwork stating it was a courtesy? Passive aggressive response, which is not needed. Furthermore, I did not realize the warranty for my car was at the discretion of an accusatory set of addentants in your service department? Failed to read that in the warranty I got at the time of purchase. This is part of why we didn’t purchase either of our Sonata’s from the Bakersfield location. We tried to purchase a new 2015 Sonata, but were blew off by the sales staff. Then wanted to trade in that 2015 we purchased from Parkway Hyundai, and upgrade to a Limited in 2017, again we had problems. We went to Keys Hyundai. So we have purchased 2 cars, NONE from this dealership. And now the service department thinks we break off the antenna covers for fun and hold our warranty hostage. Both service and sales are terrible to deal with. If I hear of someone purchasing a Hyundai, I tell them to see Parkway or Keys. The terrible drive into Los Angeles is more pleasant than the Bakersfield dealership. Your service department should let the customer explain what happened before they form an option and then, get others in the department to gang up on the customer as well. I would have given ZERO STARS, but that wasn’t an option. More

First time new car owner. Very good experience. I have only bought used vehicles in the past and the service at the dealerships I went to were spotty at best. This experience was excellent. Maria Bulat was awesome, I got to test drive two cars and she was so nice and patient with me as a first time car buyer. Definitely didn't feel rushed during the process.
