I had already been shopping at another dealership, somewhat dissapointed that my undying loyalty to another make of car had been shattered because not one of the new cars I test drove met my criteria for performance, handling and comfort. I told my wife (a die-hard Subaru owner) that I would now consider all makes of cars. I erased the blackboard and was willing to do some competitive shopping. I started with Steve Lewis Subaru because I called from my cell phone and found they had the car I was interested in sitting on the lot. Pete greeted me with a warm handshake and friendly smile. He explained the model I had been reading about, the 2014 Forester 2.0 XT Turbo Touring SUV; it's differences between the 2013 model, and the other makes I test drove. All the specs made sense. But the acid test would be the test drive itself. I told Pete that I wanted to open it up on the highway as well as drive on a bumpy road. A quiet ride was one of my important needs. Pete was very accomodating. We checked out the handling, the pickup - and holy cow this 2.0L 4-cylinder dual turbo out performed my Saab turbo. The car sold itself. Pete reviewed some of the bells and whistles this car had to offer and did a great job of exciting this almost new Subaru owner. We returned to the desk to talk turkey. We negotiated and Pete made me feel at ease during this process. I was satisfied with our deal including the trade-in. Completing the paperwork was a breeze, and so was obtaining the financing. I was a Subaru owner for the first time in my life (having owned 8 other cars). 2 days later I picked up the car. Pete went over more of the features, synced up my iphone to the bluetooth and immediately the rich Harmon Kardon speakers filled the Forester with my music. He did a great job of explaining the basics and well as the navigation system, although there are so many options on the music and navigation systems it would take days to learn it all. Pete got me started on the right track. Overall I felt welcomed at Steve Lewis Subaru. Customer service is so important and I recognised the emphasis that the entire company puts on this issue. As I walked around the facility, I came across shop folks and the car washing crew, who also went about their business professionally and with good cheer. Observations of the shop areas were very impressive with their obvious maintenance schedules rendering the spaces in unbelievable order and cleanliness. Management is to be commended for high standards expectations and an obvious commitment to training to accomplish same. In our dialogue, Jesse made commitments to get certain things addressed and he followed through on each and everyone. The prior owners had kept to the vehicle's maintenance schedule and it showed. They only failed in having the timing belt changed at the 90,000 mile mark which I am now forced to accommodate, making it the only "negative" out of the entire purchasing experience. That in itself, however, will not lessen my enthusiastic endorsement to others for the purchasing experience at Steve Lewis Subaru. More

I had a great experience with Steve Lewis Subaru. The salesman, David Hanks, was friendly, professional, and clearly understood what I was looking for. He graciously came in on what would have been a day off to complete the transaction, took all the time I needed to go over the car with me, and personally installed the dog grate so as to save me the installation cost. Myron Callendar who helped me with the financing was knowledgeable and thorough. He looked into rates at a number of banks I was considering for the loan and came up with a rate that was even better than the one I was originally planning to take through a federal credit union. I couldn't have been more pleased. This was my second successful car purchase from Steve Lewis. When the time comes, I'll gladly return for a third. More
