We had done our research, we knew what kind of features we were looking for and what kind of money we were willing to spend. We put it all on the table with our salesman Peter Lustenberger and he spent several hours with us test driving different cars, pointing out the good and the bad on each vehicle and eventually getting us into the perfect Subaru Outback Wagon! It turns out we were able to get more vehicle than we had planned on without making any sacrifices or stretching our budget! After the sale we had a few minor issues and Peter was more than willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. It was, hands down, the most pleasant car shopping experience we have ever had. We will definitely be shopping at Steve Lewis again. More
After being involved in a car accident that left me without a vehicle, I began researching makes/models of vehicles I thought I was interested in and when possible asking owners for their opinions. I never encountered a "bad" review for a Subaru which allowed my search to narrow to Subaru's. After several visits to other Subaru dealerships I was beginning to become frustrated with my search. I felt like other sales people were being rude, pushy, not listening to what my needs were and were only thinking about the revenue they would receive. In short, it was shopping for a new(er) vehicle which can be compared to having teeth pulled...not fun. I received a recommendation from a co-worker to Steve Lewis Subaru so thought I would check out what they had to offer. I was thoroughly impressed with the caliber of this dealership within the first few moments. Larry, our sales associate, allowed my husband and I to browse on our own for a bit before approaching and introducing himself, I found him to be very warm and welcoming. He knowledgeably answered all of our questions and asked detailed questions of his own which allowed him to show us vehicles that were appropriate for our needs. I test drove several Foresters without once feeling like I was being pressured to purchase. Larry even treated my husband and I to lunch which I felt went above and beyond the duty of a car salesman. Other team members we encountered at Steve Lewis Subaru were also warm, welcoming, and they all had a fantastic sense of humor that made this experience fun! One of the best aspects of this experience was that they listened, really listened, to what my needs were and were determined to work with me to achieve the reasonable goals I had set. After an afternoon filled with laughing, decision making, and easy paperwork I purchased a 2013 Subaru Forester without once feeling like I was being talked-down-to or pressured in any way, shape or form. I will be highly recommending Steve Lewis Subaru and will definitely be returning for regular maintenance and any future vehicle purchasing needs. More
I was in the market for a CPO outback and came upon a couple at Steve Lewis, after making an on-line inquiry I received a call from Griffin with in the hour. Later that day I received an e-mail from Dave Hanks who remebered me from the last time I visited the dealership. I made an appointment to come see the outbacks on Sunday, then the blizzard hit! I was pleasantly surprised that they were still open on Sunday and had all their vehicles cleaned off! Dave knew what I was driving and when I walked into the dealership he was at the door to greet me. All the staff smiled and greeted you as you walked by. I was impressed by that considering they just spent the day before clearing 2 feet of snow from their inventory. He was very knowlegable and explained all the features on the outback to my husband and I. Took a test drive and fell in love. I am now the proud owner of a Subaru Outback! I would definitly purchase another vehicle from Steve Lewis and recommend them to my Family and friends. More
I had shopped at a few Subaru dealerships prior to going here, and had mostly quite negative, unfriendly and inefficient experiences where I felt my time was not valued nor my needs really considered. Jesse was so incredibly warm, friendly, honest and helpful that this experience was a whole different ballgame. He upsold me to a new car because of the great deals on Foresters going on at the time, while Myron was truly patient, creative and awesome in helping me obtain financing with my less than truly awesome credit. I felt like I was going to a luncheon with old friends, not buying a car! My daughter, who has ADHD and normally is very restless and disruptive at long car dealership visits, was welcomed so kindly by the staff, especially Jesse who had no problem letting her sit at his desk, feel included, and make herself at home, etc. As a result, she too was relaxed, happy and didn't constantly interrupt. (Parents of restless kids will truly understand how much this meant to me, and in fact, really helped me stay long enough to close the sale!!). Jesse has fabulous "people skills" and a truly human touch. I also felt Myron was really "in my corner..." he explained all the special details of my situation to the bank, and while I couldn't get the 0% financing package that I hoped for, I still got a pretty good deal and a great warranty package! (And a NEW car... my first new car ever!) I LOVE my Forester, feel like I got a great deal and had a positive experience, and I felt that the staff here has a very strong commitment to customers for life. Jesse made it clear that I can come by any time I have any questions about my car, and I just felt like he tuned into the personal details of my life, story and preferences in a way that some dealers are too busy or worried about closing a higher priced sale to do... but which is really SO important to the sales process. Anyway... this is a truly fantastic dealership and I'd give it three thumbs up if I had an extra hand! More

I found Gus to be very helpful, accommodating and friendly to work with. I have in the past felt pressured and manipulated by car salesmen. This experience was completely different. Gus was so easy to work over the phone that I truly looked forward to meeting him when I travelled a distance to come to this dealership. I had seen the same vehicle at a much closer dealership but felt very uncomfortable with the salespeople. The young man who helped us with the paperwork was also very accommodating and pleasant to work with. I can't recall his name. This was an excellent purchasing experience. Although I live a full hour away, I am intending to do my service at this dealership because I liked the people so much. More

"Service" at Subaru is clearly a priority. From my first inquiry - a call from our home in California - to my daughter's final drive-away in her new Forester, Larry Flakes offered consistently prof my first inquiry - a call from our home in California - to my daughter's final drive-away in her new Forester, Larry Flakes offered consistently professional, friendly,knowledgeable,patient assistance. Mr. Callendar handled our finances and paperwork incredibly smoothly; I was impressed with his ease in organizing and clearly presenting the offered options and then the completed transaction in its entirety. My daughter and I feel welcome to call with any remaining questions we might have, and have done so with abandon, I might add - always receiving a polite and helpful response from Mr. Flakes. I have every intention of continuing to highly recommend this dealership to others. More
On January 28, 2013 I slid off of the road due to snow and slippery road conditions. The adjustor rated my car, a 2003 Forester, as being totaled. I did not do any comparison shopping, just went back to Steve Lewis where I had bought the 2003 Forester. The Salesperson, Peter Lustenberger, greeted me with a big smile as soon as I walked in the door. I explained my situation to him and he took me to his desk to start looking for a newer model Forester. I had intended to just upgrade to a 2011 or 2012 model. However, Peter explained that the 2013 models were availabe with 0% interest and that was a deciding point for me to take the new 2013 model. I figured by not paying interest for 5 years on car payments I could probably save enough to buy the newer car. I thouroghly enjoyed my car buying experience due to Peter's cheerfulness and patience with me, who knows nothing about cars. By the time I walked out of the dealership in the middle of the afternoon all of the paperwork was done, which is the greatest thing that a car dealer can do for their customers. He was unable to get through to the registry but I went back the next day and he was able to get the car registered and inspected. He has called me twice to make sure everything it ok and assured me if I have any questions to be sure to call him. I have had my new car only a week but already I love it. It handles so nice and easy, is quiet and rides smoothly. Thank You............. More
