Kim was very knowledgeable about the features of the model that I was interested in. She was able to answer all of my questions and did a great job of acquainting me with how things worked when I picke model that I was interested in. Jesse was a pleasure to work with. He listened to what we were looking for, and got us the cars at the price we needed. I never bought a new car before. I've had used Suburu's and drove an outback at work, but when my Toyota finally started to need work, I remembered feeling safe with AWD. I contacted their website to acqu and drove an outback at work, but when my Toyota finally started to need work, I remembered feeling safe with AWD. I contacted their website to acquaint myself with their new cars, within hours Griffin Paquette called me from Internet services to see if I needed more help with lingering questions. She was so helpful, I decided to visit there the next day. I was met at the door by John Acadia. Griffin came by too. I test drove three cars while John filled me in from interior to engine facts. When I got into the Impreza, I knew I wanted it. After that I met Mike and Myron and the paper work, loan and negotiations flew by. A few years back I got a dog. While walking my dog in NYC, people started to talk to me, pet my dog, share dog stories. It was like that when I went to a party driving my new car. Many knew Steve Lewis Suburu and words like friendly, family and honesyt was thrown around. Like getting a dog, I realized there's a happy club of Suburu owners in town too. Anyway the experience was positive. I didn't have buyers remorse for a second. I just have a safe feeling in a lovely car. More
Peter Lustenberger was a pleasure to work with. He was interested in me as a person and not simply a potential client. This was my first car purchase from a dealer, and it was a great experience. I had been planning on buying a new car in about six months, and to get rid of my very old Honda Accord ('93), which I no longer a great experience. I had been planning on buying a new car in about six months, and to get rid of my very old Honda Accord ('93), which I no longer trusted for long trips. But a family emergency had me combing the Internet for a new set of wheels sooner than I expected, and shortly afterward I was taking a drive by Steve Lewis Subaru late one Sunday, just to look. Peter Lustenberger was on his way home but stopped to talk with me. He was very friendly and a good listener. He emphasized that they were a no pressure dealer and gave me his card. About a week later I went back and decided on a used 2010 Mazda3 which was listed at a good price, and was in great shape. The fact that the dealer provides a free Carfax report up front was very helpful. Peter was pretty low key about pushing the sale, and let me look at everything I wanted to on the car. He had no trouble with me financing it through my own credit union, and was happy to wait while I slept on the decision and considered some details about the transaction. They took care of all the paperwork, licensing, etc., and even threw in a few perks, including shampooing the front seat (it had a small stain, being a used car after all, which I hadn't even noticed). A nice touch. Myron, the business manager, was quick and efficient and friendly. It was a totally pain-free experience. I love the car, got it at a good price (at just about the average of Edmunds and Nada estimates), they picked me up from home, and was driving it two days after my first test drive. I did all the insurance and financing in a few phone calls, and didn't have to go to the RMV. Although I didn't do a trade-in, Peter gave me good advice about selling or disposing of my clunker. This dealership clearly has a reputation-based, relationship-based business strategy, which I appreciate -- not to mention a tire loyalty program that I benefited from right away. Peter clearly likes working there and was easy to relate to. If you are nervous about a first-time dealer experience (like I was), go see Peter at Steve Lewis Subaru! More
I live in Stamford CT and went to the local Subaru dealership to look at a WRX, which was in my general price range and had the features I was looking for in a new car. I was left to wait around and f dealership to look at a WRX, which was in my general price range and had the features I was looking for in a new car. I was left to wait around and finally they told me that I couldn't drive one because it was on another lot, which was basically only 100ft away from the office. I drove right by it when I left. I was visiting friends in Northampton a few days later and knew that there was a Subaru dealer nearby. I called and spoke to John. I was on a tight time schedule, and he had the car waiting for a test drive when I arrived - much appreciated. The test drive experience was great, he took me thru everything in a nice clear way, did not try and convince me of anything or hard sell. He then worked with his team to get me in the right price and payments that I could live with. This all happened in a matter of a few short hours. I wanted a few items put on the car, roof rack and a turbo gauge, and he got that done for me quickly. John then arranged a driver to handle all the registration etc for the car and bring it down to me and pick up my trade in vehicle a few days later. It could not have been easier or more convenient. I am very very happy that I got the car thru John and the team at SL. More
