I recently purchased my fourth Subaru. A 2021 Crosstrek. Brian Kane was my sales person and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The associates are all very nice and very accommodating. I do very much love the car I purchased although it isn’t what I went in to buy originally through no fault of the dealership or salesperson. I enjoy how they create a personal experience BUT there are some cons- The tires on the vehicle weren’t going to pass inspection. I was promised 4 new ones but got two leaving my 4x4 with two different wear levels. The maintenance people placed a sticker over a chip in the windshield and that’s very misleading. We called for an oil change as I intend on trading this car in with Steve Lewis in the future and thought that maintenance history through the dealership would be good- I was sold a Jeep- the phone people basically said Steve Lewis doesn’t do maintenance on cars outside of suburu BUT Steve Lewis sold us the vehicle. We had to schedule an oil change 3 weeks out which is odd but not a big deal considering the place is busy. We went in for the time frame scheduled and left nearly 3 hours later. Outside of those experiences I’m pleased. More
Subaru says to change transmission oil if the vehicle is used for towing. Steve Lewis Subaru would not change the transmission oil stating updated guidance from Subaru. 13000 miles after the warranty expir used for towing. This car is on its second engine and the new one burns more oil than the one it replaced. I did not get good advise from Steve Lewis Subaru concerning the transmission. I'm not sure if Steve Lewis Subaru installed the new engine correctly or not but its worse than the original. And it took six weeks to get done. Subaru has failed our family. They failed to provide us with the long lasting dependable car they advertised to us. I will never buy another Subaru again and I discourage everyone who is thinking about buying one. Subaru built a xxx car and my family is paying a very expensive price. Two bad engines + one bad transmission = unplanned hardship an a family that cant afford it. Thanks Subaru!! More
