Bait and switch! !! Had a car advertised online. Called, before we drove over an hour to get there, and were told it was available. When we got there we were then told !! Had a car advertised online. Tried to switch us to a car that was 6 years older and 3 times the miles FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!! We left and are buying one today elsewhere. That is why people hate car dealerships!!! Go elsewhere. First, I have bought 5 total vehicles from Banister and have had several family in friends, 4 in all, buy from Banister on my recommendation. I’ve always been happy with them but my recent sales experience have had several family in friends, 4 in all, buy from Banister on my recommendation. I’ve always been happy with them but my recent sales experience is bad. I was flat out lied to and none of the the discounts or KBB values were honored. I was in a pickle and needed a vehicle so I signed a good deal but was lied to on additional discounts I was eligible for even when I showed them the discounts. 1. $1000 buyer down payment assistance not honored 2. I was charged $899 for the Banister Lifetime Warranty which is supposed to be no charge to customer 3. I showed an email and text showing $2500 over KBB for trade, they didn’t honor it! None of this was honored, none. I didn’t raise a stink because I thought I was getting a good deal yet I was actually told false information. Now o know it was false and contacted them, to date no reply! I am highly disappointed in Banister. This is my fifth purchase from Banister, 4 from Chesapeake and this one from Norfolk. More
