I took my car in for a covered repair that was discovered by another GM Service dealer. While at Barker’s they “discovered” a different problem. I left my car there on a Tuesday by Friday the repairs still h by another GM Service dealer. While at Barker’s they “discovered” a different problem. I left my car there on a Tuesday by Friday the repairs still hadn’t been done. I called about a loaner vehicle and was provided with one. When I left on Friday they told me hopefully my car would be done by the following Wednesday. Wednesday came and I didn’t hear from them. I called on Thursday and it still wasn’t done. They assured me it would be done the next day. I drove down on Friday to pick up my car and was told it wasn’t done, but it would be done by noon on the following Monday. I called Monday at 3 and was told that it wasn’t done but would be done the next day. I told them it was unacceptable and was taking my car to annother dealer. I would be coming down to pick up my car that afternoon. When I arrived, I was presented a $700 bill for my car when they hadn’t done anything. $550 dollars of the bill was for the loaner, which if I had known they were going to have it for two weeks without getting the repairs done, I would have just driven my car until they had a definite time to actually fix it. The “service” person said that she wouldn’t be charging me a restocking fee. I told her that was great since it was her fault and not mine. She proceeded to give all kinds of excuses but the main one was that they only had one person who could do that particular job and he was busy. That should have been the first thing that I was told and I would have taken my car and not been charged $550 for a loaner. Bottom line, I will never go to Barker’s in Lexington for service or sales again!!! More
