The "internet sales director" sucked us in with a deal, claiming he could get the particular car we wanted from another dealership, and we agreed to the fee of $600 for them to do that. Then once they got us in for the paperwork, they tell us they have to start adding in extra "dealership added" features that were not part of our agreement. Eventually they waived that. We finally got to the point of signing all of the documents with the finance manager, and we read through every detail of the car we were purchasing. He folded up the paperwork, stapled it together and gave it to us in an envelope. We left for a couple hours for them to get the car from Long Beach. When we came back to pick it up, it was not the car we'd been sold (They led us to a V4, not a V6). Unbelievably, we had to point this out to them. Then we were told that to get the V6, we'd have to pay another $2,900. There was not one explanation for this that remotely made sense. We cancelled the sale, having literally wasted our entire day there with extended waits and very poor communication while we were passed back and forth. So, why do I conclude they were dishonest and not incompetent? When I pulled out the contract that the finance manager had assembled and put in the envelope, it was entirely missing the details of the car we had signed for. That summary, showing we were buying a 2015 Venza LXE V6 was not given to us. Imagine that. Nothing that bound them to the car we had actually bargained for and given them a downpayment for.. And they get away with doing business this way. Wow. Now I truly appreciate the integrity of the Volvo and Lexus dealerships that I dealt with in my last two car purchases. More
The worst ongoing customer service I have ever experienced November 25, 2014 I have been doing business with Elmore Toyota for many years with no problems. However, after the recent purchase of my new Scion November 25, 2014 I have been doing business with Elmore Toyota for many years with no problems. However, after the recent purchase of my new Scion, I have had nothing but difficulties with them. Two days after my car purchase, I offered them a copy of my new auto insurance. They stated they did not need it. A few weeks later, I received a letter from the finance company (I guess I made an incorrect assumption that Toyota was financing the car) stating they had not "yet" received a copy of the insurance for my new automobile. I spent about two hours between the car dealership passing the buck and not even offering me to assist me in any way, and the finance company, which I again assumed was Toyota, straightening out this part of the mess. Elmore Toyota could have simply explained, at my time of purchase, that they were not the financing company and that i needed to directly supply them with a copy of my auto insurance. Simple. About a month ago, I received a letter from the DMV requesting registration renewal for the completely paid-off car I traded in to Elmore Toyota. They told me to ignore it, despite several requests to check their computer to see if they mailed the release of liability form to the DMV. I was told several times to ignore it, that the form had been sent to the DMV. Yesterday, I received a letter from the DMV - "Notice of Intent to Suspend" my registration for the car I traded in to Elmore Toyota. I called Elmore Toyota many times today, trying to get to the right person who could respond to this situation. This consumed my entire day. The DMV stated they still have me as the registered owner of the vehicle and, if something happens with the car (the one I no longer own), that I am responsible. Again, several phone calls to the dealership. I spoke with one finance manager who looked in the computer and said the release of liability form had already been sent to the DMV. I explained that the DMV did not have it in their system. He told me he could not do anything. I finally got to speak with the finance manager who did the paperwork on my trade-in and he said it had been "electronically sent" to the DMV when I bought the car and that it is "not his problem that the DMV has not updated their system." After several grueling and stressful phone calls and getting trapped in the middle between Elmore Toyota and the DMV, I was finally transferred to "the DMV Clerk." She stated that it has to be done by mail, that the DMV does not accept electronic submission. She stated she will mail them a copy. I do not understand why Elmore Toyota could not simply provide information and offer to help me over these past two months, or transfer me weeks ago, to the DMV Clerk that I never knew existed. I will never purchase a car again from the dealership and because, by the end of this horrible day, I admit I was yelling at them and they hung up on me, I am afraid to ever call again for anything I may need regarding the purchase of my new car. I have now made an appointment with the DMV to confirm that Elmore Toyota did what they said they did. Another few hours down the drain, when this all could have been solved with simple information and the offer to help a valued, long-time customer. More

They false advertised about the vehicles extras, they mislead me about prices, which I stupidly did not check before signing the contract, there service department is horrible. They supposedly replaced a water pump but the pump broke after less than a year. This place is just horrible. Do not go here. For any reason. More

The price the sale person agree to sale the car for me for 37000 with 2.9% apr that he confirm with his manager. I gave them 7000 down and I confirm with the sale man that I only financing for $30000. And he said yes. But when I went to talk to a finance guy. He told me that he try to financing 39000 with 9.0%apr. Because his manager told him to do so. Instead they try to sell the car for 37000 and now they want me to pay the car for 46000. Hi everyone just be careful the trick they do on your monthly payment that they steal from you. And I told them that I want my 7000 money back so I can go to another dealer. They said "they can't give my money back right now". They tell to come back tomorrow morning at 8:30 am. I went there the next morning around 9:30. I ask them the money back . And now they told to come back 1 or 2 pm. Then I told no I called the police. And I start yell in their showroom. About a few minutes they finally give me the check. Elmore toyota is a very very very bad dealer. They are very bad. They said one thing but did another thing. They are very bad in the business that I ever know. This is a bad dealer I won't back ever and ever again More
I had such an awesome experience with these two gentlemen. They were very friendly and informative about my service which was for a recall. They offered refreshments while I waited to be shuttled gentlemen. They were very friendly and informative about my service which was for a recall. They offered refreshments while I waited to be shuttled back home since the service will take more than 3 hours. Once they were done, they called me to inform me that they were done with the service and had me shuttled there. If you get any work done or need to take your car in for a recall, ask for Alfredo Mejia and Paul Rivas!!! They will take care of you and your car!! And make you laugh and make you feel at ease that your car will be done right the first time!!! Thank you guys!!!! More
Bought my 2001 Avalon from this dealership in 2002 and have had it serviced at this dealership ever since. Everything was fine until about 1 year ago. I was strongly encouraged to have major work done b have had it serviced at this dealership ever since. Everything was fine until about 1 year ago. I was strongly encouraged to have major work done because "it is well overdue". However my records showed that all of the recommended work had been done within the past 12-18 months. I gave a negative review of this visit and was contacted by a dealership representative who assured me the problem was with a "new and inexperienced" service writer and that this would never occur again if I would just give them a 2nd chance. Today I took my car in for an oil change and was upsold to include a tire rotation. Then I was told that my transmission fluid was dirty and records showed it had not been changed since 69,000 miles. (Current odometer reading 112,000 miles.) I strongly resisted this additional service, paid for the work done, and left the dealership. I just checked my records and found that transmission fluid was drained and refilled at 89,000 miles. Once again, I had been lied to in an attempt to sell me additional service. When I got home, I also noticed that one of my lug nuts is now missing. Thanks, Elmore, but I have had quite enough. There are plenty of dealerships in this area who will be happy to get my business. If I am not mistaken, there is one just south of you on Beach Blvd. You just lost my business for 2 vehicles for good. And my next purchase will definitely NOT be from Elmore Toyota. More

We made an appointment for an oil change at 11am on Friday and when we got there, we were helped right away. The employees seemed very friendly and efficient. The place is under construction now, but Friday and when we got there, we were helped right away. The employees seemed very friendly and efficient. The place is under construction now, but they did a great job of guiding the clients where to go. It took about 2 hours for the oil change to be completed, but the the service advisor did tell us it would be about 1 1/2 hours so it was ok. The location is near restaurants so if you decide to wait, there are places that you can go to to grab some food while waiting. I would definitely recommend this dealer to everyone. More
I have been purchasing and servicing my Toyota vehicles at this dealer for many years. I have come to expect excellent service but how I was surprised by my last visit on August 7, 2013. I did not have t at this dealer for many years. I have come to expect excellent service but how I was surprised by my last visit on August 7, 2013. I did not have time to make an appointment for my 40,000 mile service on my Prius, but you would have thought that I had. Although the dealership is undergoing the construction of a new showroom, Service Agent Hubbell greeted me promptly when I turned into the new service area driveway and then led me to his office. He reviewed what had to be done on my car and promised that he would have it serviced promptly as my wife and I had to wait. He then showed us to the new "temporary" customer lounge where we waited for the servicing to be completed. Although there were many customers having their vehicles serviced, I can only say that this was the shortest time I ever had to wait and Service Agent Hubbell did all that he could to make our visit as short as possible. The cost for the service was less than I had anticipated and I was more than pleased with the entire experience. More
