I purchased a 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium from Beach Cities Toyota and as part of the purchase, I was charged $1,895 for a Karr alarm system. The alarm system was never installed or activated. • The dealership’s own representative confirmed this in text messages. • The dealership’s manager later admitted via email that there was no pending installation or activation. • I also received written confirmation from Karr Security that no alarm system was ever installed or activated on my vehicle. Despite multiple refund requests, the dealership has refused to refund me for the product they never delivered. For comparison, I later learned that Longo Toyota charges approximately $500 for the exact same Karr alarm system. Beach Cities Toyota charged me nearly four times that amount — for a product I never even received. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I tried to resolve this directly and fairly with the dealership, but they would not cooperate. Please carefully review all add-ons and verify installation before completing any purchase at this dealership so that you do not end up in my situation. More
They take walk in customers before customers with appts. The service center smells like stale cigarettes. The waiting area is extremely stuffy, no AC, QVC selling gold on the TV.
