I have a fleet of approximately 20 trucks and sales vehicles, and buy frequently. Have been purchasing Ford vehicles for awhile now. We have been going to Beechmont Ford mainly because of the customer service that we always receive from Dick Barrick. Just purchased a 2014 Ford Escape, and we are very pleased with it. We contacted Mr. Barrick by phone and told him what we wanted, he responded within a day or two, and informed us that he found the vehicle we wanted, just come in and sign the papers. We were in and out within an hour. I would overall give Mr. Barrick and Beechmont Ford a rating of 100%because of statement mentioned above. This was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had. We came from Cleveland area. We called a few days prior to coming down, worked out a tentative deal and scheduled a time on Saturday to com ever had. We came from Cleveland area. We called a few days prior to coming down, worked out a tentative deal and scheduled a time on Saturday to come look and pick up the 2011 GMC Yukon. Terry was not very friendly at all and was very arrogant basically telling us he didnt need our sale that there was enough interest in the truck that he didnt care if we bought it our not. The experience started out with the truck being FILTHY. There was garbage in the back seat, gum wrappers and there was coffee that had been spilt all over the passenger side and a huge spot in the back seat carpet. We were told that the service manager had been driving it and that it was 'detailed' when it came in on trade. If you have a customer coming in to look at a car the first thing I would do is go over the car and make sure it is clean. There were also dryer sheets stuffed under the seats, I am still unsure what kind of smell they were trying to cover up but this is a horrible practice. They did take it back in the shop and clean it again before we left but that took time we didn't have to spare. Terry also just dissapeared after we were waiting for some of the paperwork to be completed, he did not inform us as to what was going on, we sat in his cubical for over 30 minutes without any update on how the process was going. If this had not been the EXACT car we wanted, had a 1 way rental and driven 4 hours we would have walked away from this deal. I will never deal with this dealership again and will not reccomend this dealership to anyone I know. After I wrote this review the dealership did attempt to make thing right by reimbursing me for a detail I had to have done since the car was so filthy. Because they were willing to do this I would consider purchasing a car from them again, however I would not work with Terry Reeves again. More
Bob & I have never been to Beechmont Ford before & I spoke with Dick Barrick on the phone before our visit (we live approx. 2 hours away). Dick answered my questions and even tested sitting in the driver's seat of the 2013 Ford Fiesta that we eventually purchased to make sure that my husband's height wouldn't affect the sale. Dick is the same height as my husband. This can affect any car that we would have been interested in purchasing. When we got to Beechmont Ford, we met Dick & he was exactly as I had pictured from our conversation. Dick made the whole process go along smoothly without a hitch. Dick worked with us on getting exactly the financing that I could live with monthly. Dick is an interesting man and very easy to get along with. We have "test driven" a few sales persons at other dealerships in the last few months and that comfortable feel wasn't quite there.
