After several earlier phone calls and text messaging verifying the vehicle and options with the agreed to out the door cost (before I drove 45 minutes to dealership and not wasting my time) I met Chris and reconfirmed all information we discussed earlier that morning. He subsequently brought me the contract with a price increase of over $4,000.00. Needless to say I ended our interaction immediately as he brought over his manager to assuage the situation and claim he must have misunderstood - that was a lie as he had spoken to my wife earlier and confirmed with her the exact information he told me about vehicle/specs and out the door cost. The only mistake I made was not confirming on text (as evidence) the out the door cost. IDK if the text would be a legally binding contract but would at least prove he was lying... More
