I’m not sure if we would recommend this dealership. He and his manager, and several other people kept us there for hours, tossing different deals at us and trying to get me to trade in my car for a very low price. They had our heads spinning to the point that there were so many various offers out there with different agendas and different stories that we ended up having to agreed to trade in my car and agreed to financing just to get this done. But then we had to.go home and come back the next day to finalize the agreement because it was getting late. We were tempted to go to a different Hyundai dealer, but this one is close to our home and we wanted to have the convenience of purchasing close by. We finally agreed to finance and we’re told the rate was 4.”something”…because if we did not agree to finance, the deal was off the table and we never understood the deal to begin with! I realize we are retired, but we are not stupid, and none of this made sense to us so, because they had been so pushy, and we really wanted this car, we decided we would finance for one month, pay off the car and be done with that part of it. Then another surprise came when they told us it would take a week to have the car that we wanted driven from 300 miles away and that we were to pay $1000 for someone to drive the car to Houston. I was blown away by this, so they did some other fancy footwork to move some numbers around to make it look like we weren’t going to have to pay anything for that but they knew they had us over a barrel. We waited a full week to receive the car.Then when we arrived to to pick up our car, we were made to wait yet another several hours to find that the finance rate was more than double the initial amount quoted to us. I’m very disappointed that the young man who sold us our car didn’t even go over the vehicle with us properly. He gave us information that was incorrect and I’m still having difficulty trying to understand the various nuances of the car and to also set up my online account with Hyundai.. I owned a Hyundai Azera several years ago but sold it in 2018, and Hyundai does not recognize that I own a Palisade, it is still assimilates me to the Azera. I am so extremely frustrated at this point. I’m afraid to even go near Big Star Hyundai because I don’t want to get another run-around and have to wait for five hours to get an answer for simple questions. My husband is interested in purchasing a pre-owned pick up truck, but he will not go near Big Star Hyundai to talk to them about their used trucks. That’s a real shame. More
