Unhappy former customer I bought a new Hyundai Sonata in 2015.We loved the car until it started using oil at about 32000 mile. I took the car in for service and explained th I bought a new Hyundai Sonata in 2015.We loved the car until it started using oil at about 32000 mile. I took the car in for service and explained that the car was using oil especially on the highways. I was told to keep an eye on it. Shortly after that we drove to Arizona. On the way I checked the oil frequently and had to add about one and a half quarts of oil for a 1500 hundred mile trip. I took the Sonata into Horne Hyundai to have them check it. They did a pressure check to see if it was leaking oil. It was not. They told me to return to the dealer where I bought it. Several weeks later we returned to Iowa . I took the car back to Billion Hyundai. I was told they would have to get permission from Hyundai to fix the car . It could cost up to six thousand dollars to fix. I told the service department the car was covered by warranty. I also explained that we had taken out the extended 10 year 100,000 mile warranty We were told this made no difference. I called Hyundai about the problem on two different occasions . They told me Billion should fix the car. I contacted Billion on several occasions and they told me Hyundai needed to approve it. I then contacted the service manager at Hyundai. He told me the same story. He did put me in contact with the area Hyundai representative. He told me he would look into it and get back to me..I never heard from him again. I called the service manager on two separate occasions and left a message but he did not respond. I contacted Hyundai motors . I talked to Johnathon and he had me file a complaint. I filed a complaint. I missed two voice messages from Johnathon. The second message he left informed me that he had contacted me twice and had left a message. I tried to call him Eight separate times with no response. He never returned any calls. No one ever called to apologize but I did get a call from a new car salesman from Billion Hyundai. He asked if I would trade for a new Sonata. I said yes but asked how much he would allow for my 2015. He made a ridiculous offer because it would take 6,000 dollars to fix my car. The car continued to use oil . This all happened over a 7 month period. Hard to believe they would treat a customer like this, especially since I had previously referred family members to buy from Billion. I do not feel it was the service department's fault but someone up the ladder had no interest in resolving the problem. More
