I wanted to write a review as this was my first new car buying experience and was very nervous about it. I actually had problems with my current car and needed a new one immediately. I originally talked with the sales person over the phone to try and arrange some details as I live out of town. As it turns out they had the exact car with the options I wanted in stock. I named my price and they agreed to it with pretty much no haggling. I drove to the dealrship to pick up the car and they had all the paperwork completed that they could prior to my arrival. I was there less that an hour before leaving with the car including a test drive (they had also washed the car and got it ready before my arrival despite the time constraints). The thing I have liked best about working with this dealership is the fact that due to the rushed nature of my purchase I have had some questions and other details that I wanted to get worked out after the purchase. I was concerned that there would be no follow up as after all they have made their sale. Anytime I contacted my salesman, Matt Canales, I recieved a quick response to my question. I love my new Mazda 3 and will definately be going back to Bob Penkus, but probably not for a while as my new car is just what I wanted and I plan on keeping it for a long time. Where do I start? As I arrived to the dealership , I was immediately greeted by a salesman who worked there. He was too abrasive which was nice. It gave me some time to look around. It made my decision making a bit more challenging because there were so many great cars within my price range. The experience really made itself worth while when I was introduced to a jarred black . This guy knows what he is taking about ! Probably the best customer service I've ever received along with a never-ending knowledge of a the vehicles in the lot. After meeting jarred I felt very comfortable and new I wasn't leaving without a gray deal. I will continue to recommend all friends and family to jarred at bob Lelia Mazda ! I travel frequently by air, yet was in need of a new car. (It is just my husband and I at this time, as the children are grown; with children, therefore the reason for the 3rd row seating :)) I called and spoke with Jarred at Bob Penkhus here in COS and told him what I wanted and what I was looking for (and as many probably do, explained that I did not want to spend a fortune since I don't drive often) Within a very short period of time Jarred called to talk to me about a lease. That is the route that we went, Dave Johnson is my salesperson and Jon Noll handled the finance piece of it. This was the very best experience I have ever had at a dealership (and I have had many in my life) The Bob Penkhus experience was like being an extended part of a big family. Jarred is a highly trained professional, Dave Johnson a very knowledgeable salesperson (explaining the details of the vehicle) and setting my first service appointment for me before I left the dealership. Jon Noll finished off with an equally professional and friendly approach to what is typically the piece I hate the most when buying a car. This experience overall was A+++. This was by FAR the best experience of buying a car!! I had my 2 yr old son with me and of course he got tired of sitting there waiting for the paperwork to be finished and Pat took him around to keep him had my 2 yr old son with me and of course he got tired of sitting there waiting for the paperwork to be finished and Pat took him around to keep him occupied so we finish the paperwork! I also was a strict time limit due to school getting out soon and they got me and out very quickly! Jarred was very friendly and got some things resolved when I asked. Jon made the paperwork go so smoothly (even with a 2 yr old getting tired). I would buy from them again even though it won't be for a while since Im completly satisfied with my purchase!! We decided to stop by the Bob Penkhus Mazda store saturday on the north end of Colorado Springs to take a peek at what they had for sale. Although we were not impressed with the selection/amount of used cars they had. We did meet one of the most friendly sales staffs ever, Jarrod sp*?. Although we had no intention of purchasing a car that day we did have a wonderful experience and it was a pleasant tour of the dealership and we were treated with the utmost honesty, courtesy and respect. Jarrod did ask us a few times "if there was anything they could do to earn our business" we politely declined but did appreciate the eagerness to help.
