Review for Bobby Rahal Toyota – Mechanicsburg Service Dept. 2023 Toyota Camry 4 Dr, AWD XLE I purchased a new 2023 Toyota Camry LXE AWD 2023. I am the primary driver. I decided to use the ToyotaCare Dept. 2023 Toyota Camry 4 Dr, AWD XLE I purchased a new 2023 Toyota Camry LXE AWD 2023. I am the primary driver. I decided to use the ToyotaCare offer for maintenance. Now has 20,400 miles on it with the last visit to Bobby Rahal Toyota at 20,170 miles. The car has been taken 4 times to Rahal dealership. At 3,123, 6.078, 11,187; 20,170 miles. At 15,496 I took car new garage. they wrote on receipt -"tires wearing choppy.” To Bobby Rahal Toyota 3 times before no mention of any problems. I believed them Rahal over this new garage! My husband drove the car & said something wrong with the tires. At 20,170 I asked dealership to check. No abnormal report. My husband drove car said something was definitely wrong with the tires. Take to our normal garage at 20,300 miles. The dx was the rear needed to be aligned (which can’t be done on this model & I need 4 new tires due to “cupping” “barely safe" ($1,800 dollars total). Even though the car had been to Bobby Rahal 4 times in the last 20,000 miles @ no time did Rahal Toyota tell me anything was wrong actually said nothing was wrong. I am upset to need 4 new tires at 20,000 I scheduled appt. with Rahal service mgr. I expected them to offer to prorate the remaining life that tires should have had & apply that toward credit to purchase tires @ dealership. Instead, the mgr met me with this is your problem, our garage did nothing wrong (no admission of negligence) and find a new garage if I am unhappy with their service. He refused to look, feel the tires or drive the car even though I asked him to. With no assessment the service mgr said my tires were "perfectly safe." He was rude, argumentative and hostile, I felt very disrespected and like he would not have talked to me that way if I had not been a woman. I can't write more detail as there is a word limit. I am writing to issue a warning. I can't drive my car until the part comes in that makes the rear able to be aligned then I will get my 4 new tires installed. No sense to put new tires on a car that the service mgr says is in line (obviously not d/t cupping tires) until the alignment takes place or else I will ruin the new tires. My regular garage which have been with for 20+ yrs. said Toyota put a straight bar (cheaper) in the rear w/o a screw so it can't be aligned. I believe it has been out of alignment from the factory. It is unsafe for me to drive my car & it will be a week before the part is in. Bobby Rahal was not concerned about my safety which is most upsetting to me. I am grateful my husband drove the car & insisted something was wrong even though Bobby Rahal Toyota said there wasn't. I didn't know anything was wrong. Something bad could have happened if I blew a tire. I see many + reviews for Rahal Toyota but that was not my experience and I wanted to give a warning, especially to those who don't know much about cars. I wrote to Rahal corporate about my experience with the service mgr. & am awaiting their response. If I get one I will update this post. More

Once again, it was time to look into getting a new car. Several very positive purchases through Rayhal Toyota meant that we would be headed back to see what they had to offer. As in the past, we found the entire process of purchasing a new car very positive! Our previous salesman was promoted up to sales manager but he introduced us to one of their newer associates. The entire process was again very positive, even with all the supply issues that the industry is experiencing. At no point did my wife or I feel we were being sold on something we might need to make some compromises on. Rather the experience was more consultative where we were able to evaluate our options and find a car that not only meets all our needs but also exceeds them. Congratulations to all the great folks at Bobby Rayhal Toyota on bringing in the next generation while maintaining a very positive and enjoyable experience! More
