I brought in my year old corvette for its second oil change and state inspection and was told to expect an hour and a half wait, which was fine. It ended up taking about two and a half hours and I was t change and state inspection and was told to expect an hour and a half wait, which was fine. It ended up taking about two and a half hours and I was told the inspection was complimentary because of the wait, which was great. Driving home, I got about a block away when I went through my information screens and saw the oil life monitor was not reset, still reading 12 percent. I quickly returned and they had one of the service advisors come out and reset it. Minor annoyance, but worse was to come. I parked the car in the garage when I got home where it stayed for five days. When I moved it five days later, I instantly saw a foot wide oil stain on the concrete floor. This was new concrete that only this car has ever parked on. I called the dealership the next day and was told to bring it in. One of the things that stands out to me now from that conversation was that I asked what days they had corvette mechanics there and was told every day except Friday. The oil change was done the previous Friday. So I brought it back in early the next week and they took it back and told me the oil leak was from a defective gasket seal that was put in during the oil change. The repair was made, the engine cover that I pointed out had oil spots on it was cleaned up, I took the car back home, and have not seen any further leaks or other problems since. The advisors here are nice, communicate, and they apologized for the inconvenience, but that is all that was offered. Of course there was no charge for the repair, and while I did not pay directly for the oil change, this was the second of two that were included from buying the car. So while there was no charge to reimburse, there was no offer of anything additional to make up for what happened, and I now have a very stubborn oil stain on an otherwise clean concrete floor. This dealership seems better than the Chevrolet dealership that is much closer to my house (that I refuse to go to due to complete lack of respect when I was shopping for the car), but this was a concerning experience. Seems difficult to find a reliable dealership, recommended because the first oil change went smoothly and the people seem likable. More
