Service was fine, staff seemed relatively nice. First time at dealership and was in for an airbag recall. I’m a college student living in NYC. I drove to JMU for a long weekend to visit a friend (this was my first time ever stepping foot in VA); while I was driving back on the highway, my tr I drove to JMU for a long weekend to visit a friend (this was my first time ever stepping foot in VA); while I was driving back on the highway, my traction and engine lights lit up on the dashboard. All of a sudden, my Chevy Malibu wouldn’t accelerate over 45 mph. I pulled off at a random exit in Virginia to figure out my next move. Luckily, Bomnin Chevrolet was up the block from the exit I came off of. I walked into the mechanic part of the dealership and explained my situation to the men behind the counter. I only wanted an opinion on whether I could continue my 300 mile drive back to New York or if I should turn around and drive back to my friend’s dorm. It turns out my engine was losing connection with the gas pedal. The men at Bomnin Chevrolet were able to fix my car, replace a part, and get me back on the road all within a few hours. I am so incredibly grateful to them and the way they helped me. They went above and beyond and helped me in time where I was very afraid, and alone. This was the absolute best experience I’ve had at a Chevrolet and would definitely come back if I ever find myself in Virginia again. I know that this sounds like a crazy story but it is 100% true and I will be forever grateful that a Chevrolet dealership was right off the exit where my Chevy was having problems. More
My truck went in on Wednesday for airbag replacement and to check on a noise. They said it needed a new starter and flywheel. They would have to order the parts and they said they should be there within a d to check on a noise. They said it needed a new starter and flywheel. They would have to order the parts and they said they should be there within a day. Did not get the parts until Friday midday and I don’t know if he even started working on it on Friday. Ask him about working out on Saturday and they said the tech is off on Saturday. They said it would be done Tuesday by noon and it wasn’t ready until 5:30 in the evening. Looking at the bill they overcharged me on the parts. They gave me a remanufactured starter instead of a new one but charged me for the price of a new one for $445. I will never bring my truck in for service there again. More
