Frustrated and Disgusted with GM and Day Chevrolet of Untwn. I have contacted Day Centennial (uniontown), GM customer service via phone & email, and GM on Facebook regarding my concern and frustration with GM ov I have contacted Day Centennial (uniontown), GM customer service via phone & email, and GM on Facebook regarding my concern and frustration with GM over my 2011 Chevy Traverse. I know 100%, there was a recall for the timing chain on 2011. This is a well known issue for these vehicles along with my 2012 Chevy Equinox, which ironically experienced the same repair at 44k. However, the only assistance I can seem to get from anyone is "buy another car and be done with it". I can not believe the arrogance, deplorable customer service, loss of integrity and lack of quality & value regarding my traverse and as a consumer -- not even a "I understand your frustration". The repair bill is $647; and no one has enough courteous to even call me back to discuss. Over the $1000's I paid and timing chain goes ??? But GM or Dealership wont cover the repair bill..GM advertises of the "power and performance redesigned engine" . I hope the $647 you think is warranted for the repair, is worth more to you than a loyal customer, who purchased 6 GM vehicles and 3 from Day Centennial. An Envoy, that was in the shop every month for repair for a consistently. Then 2011 Chevy Traverse, timing chain breaks at 116k -- really? A timing chain doesn't break. It is not a part that should even need replaced it really should last lifetime of engine or close to it. It is not a scheduled replacement maintenance part. I have made sure every maintenance was done when needed.. The timing chain has a defect.. This is a known issue with this manufactured year, GM cant even deny it. I have a family member who also has the identical Traverse, same manufactured year and style engine -- funny their vehicle was recalled. I have 3 other acquaintances who own 2011 Traverse, funny their vehicle was recalled.. But everyone I talk to says " Just buy another car". My 2012 Equinox, under warranty thankfully, but has had the timing chain replaced and that was at 44k, and has been in the shop 2 more times because of oil loss consumption.. So, I have bought almost $100k in vehicles off of Uniontown Day Centennial in the past 7 years. And what do I get -- your Service Manager cowards away and tells Nathan, "nothing I can do ". I had to call there 3 times, spoke to Nathan, and finally he advised the Service Manager cant do anything for me he did a dealer empowerment and the repair bill is $647, nothing more we can do.. He did mention he would go to General Manager.. At least he was cordial with me and understands.. Not to mention some of the service people at the repair shop at Day even state this should be covered and paid for, its not right.. I should not be pushed around like this because it is a known issue. I manage a quality assurance & billing department for a rather large Company, and would never lose a customer over a few dollars. Especially, when their is truth to the complaint. If I ran operations like your dealership/GM, my employment would be very short lived.. It's not that I cant afford to pay for the repair , its the principle behind the recall, its a well known issue, Service bulletins are posted. The lack of integrity of GM and Day Chevrolet. I hope you enjoy the $647, last dollar you will ever get from me, my husband, and family! And I don't think I will be referring anyone as well. More

The best was last week when we went to take care of a recall. They got us right in, and when my 3-year-old daughter was scared (she'd never been in a dealership before, and didn't want strange people taking our car!), they bent over backwards to help her feel better. I was so surprised when suddenly one associate appears with a stuffed fox that he gave her to help her feel safe, and another associate came with a rose out of a flower arrangement for her. They did the trick! My daughter is still carrying around the fox and rose days later! And they got the recall taken care of in about half the time they'd estimated, and even washed the car before returning it to us. I could not have asked for a better service experience! More

My service advisor, Ray Peterson has always been honest and upfront with me about my car. I trust Ray very much. Honestly, if it wasn't for Ray's great advice, I wouldn't be driving my Equinox, which I love! Thanks so much Ray, you're the best! When I left, my oil light was on, never in the whole time have I own the car (11 years) has the light been on.. Went back and was told that when the gentleman that drove to the garage (20 feet) from where I dropped it off, said it was on... General manager was no help at all.. Please be carefull if you decide to deal with Day in Monroeville, they make promises they dooo not keep.... More

The remote was written up for repair by me, and clearly said the remote would not lock/unlock doors, or start the car. They called me to authorize repairs, quoted a price, I approved. When we went to pick up the car, the remote started still did not work…. We left the car for them to finish the repair, but they called and said it would be over $200.00 for additional parts. We declined.....” The above paragraph is from my original review; I am editing this review to say that DAY took the time to read this review, and to correct the problem. Apparently, the estimate given to me was for less work then I originally requested. Of course, I assumed that what I was requested was being fixed. Upon learning of the miscommunication, DAY stepped up and admitted the mistake. How REFRESHING. They made no attempt to ignore me, did not sweep the complaint under the rug....in fact, they made an appointment at my next convenience, and remedied the situation. Now that is what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE. More
I purchased my new Equinox from Day Chevrolet and since that day I have been very pleased with all the people involved in my transaction. I had my car in for the first time for service today and everyt that day I have been very pleased with all the people involved in my transaction. I had an 8:00a.m. appointment today (3/8/12)for FREE "Lube-Oil-Filter, Four-Tire Rotation and 27-point Vehicle Inspection" as outlined in CHEVROLET'S "COMPLIMENTARY MAINTENANCE" Booklet that I received "Lube-Oil-Filter, Four-Tire Rotation and 27-point Vehicle Inspection" as outlined in CHEVROLET'S "COMPLIMENTARY MAINTENANCE" Booklet that I received in 2011. Upon receiving it in early 2011, I had the services done in March 2011. The windshield sticker affixed at that time said that the NEXT service was due at "51,100 miles". Due to low mileage accumulated, I had no further service appointments until today. Even though my odometer only read 50,478, I wanted to get the oil changed on my 1996 IMPALA/SS before the expiration date of 3/31/12 on the offer. When I went to the service desk with - what I thought - was the complete original envelope that I received, with all enclosures, I couldn't FIND the "Complimentary Maintenance CARD" that Joe Brown asked for! After rummaging through my glove box, console, door compartments and panels in back of front seats, I came up "empty"! I resigned myself to the fact that I was either going to have to PAY for an oil change...or LEAVE, Joe called to me and said "Never mind, Ron...we'll go with past year's service record.". Joe then provided info on location of the customer's lounge. The lounge was equipped with soft chairs, an exotic coffee machine that offered ALL kinds of choices (Latte, hot chocolate, etc.) and DOUGHNUTS! The remodeled dealership is SPECTACULAR: bright, clean, friendly employees...truly an ASSET to the Chevrolet/GM Organization! When Joe walked me back to the service area, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the SS had been given a car wash! Today was truly a memorable experience; I wish DAY Chevrolet continued success for the future! More
