Warranty Claim Nighmare I went to Murphy Ford for a warranty claim I had on my 2013 Ford Flex. The car is covered bumper to bumper for 7 years, which covers practically every I went to Murphy Ford for a warranty claim I had on my 2013 Ford Flex. The car is covered bumper to bumper for 7 years, which covers practically everything that is not a wear and tear item. This warranty was included from Murphy Ford when purchasing the vehicle there. I first began by scheduling a appointment for my claim, in which they responded by "scheduling" me for March 18th. I arrive 15 minutes early to my appointment at 10am, and come to find out that the person i scheduled my repair claim with, didn't actually schedule me in. They say they're booked for the rest of the week and some, rescheduling me 3/29. Mind you, my warranty claim is for suspension noises and issues. I comply with their mistake and return on my newly scheduled date. They go about the claim and repair only the front sway bars and not having an issue with the back. They said that, "Our rear Tie-Rod ends a little rusty NO FAILURE in FORD SPECS. No repair at this time per Ford warranty". With the replacement of the sway bars, an alignment was also needed. However, this alignment was not covered under warranty, even though the suspension part replaced totally ruined the alignment. They quoted me $150 for an alignment which I said was outrageous and denied it. Conveniently, there was a coupon to reduce it to $100, which I rejected again. I drove off the lot and headed to my local mechanic to do an alignment. That "little rust", was actually a sustainable amount, and required a torch to help loosen up the adjustments and properly align the vehicle. Within less than a month now, the vehicle now jerks and torques the front end forward whenever a medium amount of brake pressure is applied. To keep the vehicle in the lane is now difficult and unsafe. I take it to my local mechanic and they state that the rear tie-rods have failed and the vehicle in unsafe to drive, the same part i mentioned previously on my warranty claim. I return to Murphy Ford today, mention how in the previous claim they said it was all good and well, but now i cannot drive the vehicle safely. The soonest they can correct this issue is now 4/29, leaving me without a safe and usable vehicle for multiple days. I asked if they could squeeze me in sooner, but that would require me to leave the car overnight for multiple days, which would be acceptable if i was given a loaner. They stated that its possible that the warranty claim could provide a vehicle but its unsure if the repair is truly covered under warranty at this time. So now I am left with a unusable vehicle due to the fact that they wouldn't repair the rusted out competent when i first requested. Overall, my experience with Murphy Ford has been terrible to say the least. They don't seem to have an urgency for their customer, especially after having "repaired" a previous claim. I would highly recommend against their service center. More
