BEWARE and PAY ATTENTION when buying from AutoNation Dealers. A little lengthy but please read. With gas prices, my monthly fuel costs were over $600. It was time to buy an electric vehicle. Tesla Mode Dealers. A little lengthy but please read. With gas prices, my monthly fuel costs were over $600. It was time to buy an electric vehicle. Tesla Model 3 pricing is based on battery range, which was important to my wife and I due to all of my driving. We were in the market for a mid-range or long range Tesla and after a month of car shopping, we found a 2019 Model 3 mid-range advertised on all of AutoNation’s dealer websites for $44,995 and it was at one of their St. Pete locations. My wife and I went to the Brooksville location and they had the vehicle brought to us. After looking over the vehicle, which has no badging to confirm the range of the vehicle, we traded in our well taken care of 2014 F150 XLT, and bought the Tesla. At the very beginning of the deal before even seeing the vehicle, they had us sign the formal AutoNation offer sheet, which had “standard range” written in the top left corner. My wife immediately asked the salesman about it and he replied back, “it’s wrong and that it is a mid-range Tesla just like all of their adds suggest.” We then leave to come back later when the vehicle arrived to the brooksville dealer to do the final paperwork on the sale. While signing all of the 44 pages attached to the deal, not one paper stated if it was a standard range or a mid-range. That night after the dealer closed, I set up my Tesla account at home on a Saturday night to find that it was not a mid-range, and that it was a standard range. Due to my crazy work schedule I was not able to get back to the dealer until Thursday. Before walking into the dealership, I already knew they were gonna pull up that official offer paper we signed at the very beginning agreeing on the price before even seeing the vehicle. Guess what….. that’s exactly what they did. They started out by saying, “ we’re not trying to stick it to you but.” We all know when you start a sentence like that, what’s coming. I told the gentleman about my wife pointing that out and that’s why I wanted to talk to our salesman who specifically stated it was mid-range and the paper was wrong. The salesman said, “ we’re not discounting the vehicle and you can give it back.” At this point they’ve had my truck all week and why give a vehicle back that they can miss advertise and sell over price again. The matter is, every big dealership is selling the same car and mileage for $39k-$40k as a standard range. Every book value for this vehicle tops out at $39k. You can literally by a brand new Model 3 standard range from Tesla for $46k and have it delivered in 6-8 weeks. I know we should’ve asked for more proof on the range after seeing that one and only paper stating standard range but it is also their responsibility to advertise, price, and sell vehicle to its true model and value. Everyone make their own opinion on this and just be careful. I will also attached photos to this review on google to be transparent. Due to their links being taken down after the vehicle sale, there was still one left from their Lexus dealer in Clearwater with the VIN# attached to it. My wife also has a screen shot of the original advertisement we seen and I will post later. I am going to try my best to hold them accountable for this. More

WIFI is not secure so I didn't use iPad which I brought since I knew I would be waiting. Woman who answers phone and checks customers out needs to have an assistant. Phones were ringing often, and she was since I knew I would be waiting. Woman who answers phone and checks customers out needs to have an assistant. Phones were ringing often, and she was trying to check people out who were anxious to go and answer phones. Service techs tried to help with phones but not when they had customers in front of them. It would be nice if there were some comfortable chairs outside in addition to bench seating. Waiting area has a lot of conversation and activity and would rather not wait there Chip keeps you informed and have no issues with, and Don is very knowledgeable. I do not know who Lou Pepe is maybe mechanic? I gave him 5 because I didn't want to unfairly penalize him not being sure who he was. If he was mechanic smell in my car now is vinegar smell when car starts. More
