My husband had a bad experience with Royal Chevrolet ,salesman Ron Carter and was unsure of purchasing a vehicle period . Royal Chevrolet left a bad taste in his mouth but Bill Stone and Gary See made our car buying experience enjoyable and worth while . The van came with a DVD entertainment system and Bill Stone and Gary See found out it did not work and Colonial Honda paid for the installation of a new DVD player done by Audio Express and my husband and I are pleased.. It was done today and I can hardly wait to look at a movie. Gives me a reason to sit in the back seat.!! Can not wait to go to Disney in August in the van! Looking forward to the trip!! During the follow up process Colonial was made aware of a written offer that was more competitive. Within a short period of time Colonial Honda was able to become competitive and a deal was able to be made. Since I had already sold a vehicle and Colonial was about 1 hour away I requested if Colonial could pick me up at the Amtrak station. Colonial went 1 step better. The salesman I was working with, Richard Miller, agreed to pick me up at my home, about 1 hour drive each way. This as the saying goes "closed the deal" Upon arriving at Colonial I noticed a number of things immediately 1) the friendliness of the employees. Everyone you passed said Hi or as they say in Virginia "Hey" 2) the cleanliness of the showroom....from the floors to the lighting to the openness. 3) the service area had windows and looking in the technician work areas were all neat and clean. I would recommend anyone who is considering purchasing a Honda to give Colonial an opportunity to earn your business. More

Although tedious I requested quoted from all dealerships in central Virginia for a red manual CR-Z. Richard was amongst the first to respond, but most importantly with a price that was hands down a great deal and lower than any competitor. While I began to receive quotes from other dealerships they all paled in comparison, and began using his quote to try to get a better deal at other dealerships. While the other dealerships did come down in price in some regard it was an overall negative experience negotiating a sale price with all of Colonial Honda's competitors, particularly Mechanicsville. Richard at Colonial gave me an upfront great deal and we negotiated for him to buyout the remaining I owed on my previous car that I was trading in. I did find that the management that Richard had to confirm details with were trying to cut corners as much as possible, which was annoying. My trade-in was valued at 4800, they could sell it for 6000+ and I owed 5400. Dealing with management to buyout my car was a tad annoying and I can see a weaker negotiator just taking the 4800. They ultimately did buyout my trade-in from me after arbitrary incremental amounts. 200-400 at a time. It was the only negative experience I had. Richard Miller on the other hand was perhaps one of the easiest salesmen I have had the pleasure to work with. I am an attorney and law professor, I have had a great deal of experience dealing with pushy, unprofessional and undeserving business partners. If I needed to buy another car and Richard moved to another dealership, I would contact him first to see what he could do for me. Colonial Honda was fantastic other than that one brief moment which I would hope not put a bad taste in anyone's mouth. More

I worked with gary see and we were able to agree on a price that I was looking for. the transaction was comfortable and pleasant.. some other dealers offered deals that were not really a deal at all. sort of like a bait and switch. those business practices really turn me off.
