Last week I purchased my first vehicle in about seven years. Once I determined what I wanted, I used the internet to obtain quotes from a number of area Honda dealers. The quote I received from Colonial came from Jimmy Monger. The quote was very good and Jimmy was very responsive to follow up emails. Within a couple of days I had set up an appointment to go in for a test drive. When I arrived at Colonial, Jimmy had the car I wanted to test drive parked right next to the front door and ready to go. We took the test drive and I quickly determined that I had selected the right car. With what I thought was a very fair price on the car already, there was no negotiation necessary. The first price offered on my trade-in was also fair and negotiations were done very quickly and easily with no haggling necessary. This was by far the easiest and least stressful car purchase I have ever made. Mike Revell handled the financial end of things and was also very easy to deal with. The whole process, from the time I arrived until the time I left with my new car, took less than two hours. I would not hesitate to deal with Jimmy or Colonial again in the future. But colonial was the first one I dealt with and they meet the competitors price ,so I felt it was only fair to give them my business. I just knew i would have to approach the car buying experience like a battle , but it was very much the opposite. Both workers were very friendly. The costumer service was terrific from Merlon. We were cars shopping and Merlon approached us and persistently persuaded us to purchase a car from Honda but in a nicely was terrific from Merlon. We requested a price online through AAA, and received a call within seconds of the request. The price offered was the best around and even included an extended warranty on the powertrain. A fair price was offered for our trade-in, and the deal was consummated in two days. In my 43 years of buying cars, Colonial Honda is an anomaly. The reason I say this is that it is the only dealership selling cars that I would send a loved one to and have no reservations about them being treated with respect, kindness and efficiency. I had to travel two hours to get to the dealership and was in quite a bit of pain, just making the trip. But finding this rare organization was, without a doubt, worth it. If someone had told me that such a dealership existed, I would have thought they were lying to me because my experience with salespeople from the major automobile brands has been poor, to say the least. I will go out of my way to send as many people to Colonial Honda that are interested in the brand as I possibly can. You see, I believe in rewarding people who act professionally and strive for excellence. It is also important to recognize the individuals who prepped the car and the service department that corrected a minor imbalance in one of the wheels that brought up the performance on the highway to absolute perfection. Needless to say, I will be doing business with these people again. I am extremely happy with my encounter with Colonial Honda. Jimmy Monger's exemplary attentiveness to detail is amazing. More
