I came Cable Dahmer in Independence, only to see a specific car and intent to look only. I met Abby, her smile could clear up a stormy sky. She has a beautiful personality and energy to match. Abbey a specific car and intent to look only. I met Abby, her smile could clear up a stormy sky. She has a beautiful personality and energy to match. Abbey asked the right questions, didn't feel pushy or rushed. I came in to look at 2019 Chevy Malibu in Paciific Blue. I knew the color was what I wanted. She had us test drive the car right away. She told us the history (CarFax) and items done by their shop. The Malibu drove smooth. I felt excitement (I WANT) in the pit of my stomach. Abbey listened to my concerns (price, miles and few minor cosmetic issues) and went to work seeing if there were other vehicles available near us. There were a few, but, none of the gave me the same feeling. Abbey could see this and took my list of concerns to her Mgr. She conveyed perfectly what I wanted, willing to pay and expectations. There wasn't a ton of haggling. We completed the deal and I couldn't be happier. I've been driving the car about 3 weeks now. I have zero regrets and Abby even check in on me. One additional thing while working on my deal, Abbey was helping 3 additional customers that day. Although I was there for quite awhile. It didn't feel nearly as long. Abby always, che ked on us and kept us in the loop of steps that were be made. She is xxxx good at multitasking and I just want to say, "ABBEY THANK YOU!" This was the best car buying experience I've had in the 25 years I've been driving. More
Brought a new 5500 and have had a problem with the four wheel drive since day one. Also bought the 5 year oil change plan. I've told them every time I've been in about the issue. They always tell me the wheel drive since day one. Also bought the 5 year oil change plan. I've told them every time I've been in about the issue. They always tell me the are booked out and can't fix it. I made an appointment three weeks out and get there today to find out they don't have me in. Cooper tells me that they don't fix four wheel drive by appointment that I need to leave my truck with them 3 to 5 days and they will try to look at it. Even states that's how it's been done since he has been there (7 years). All the while talking louder and over me any time I tried to talk. I left the service department and went to find my salesman (Aaron). He wasn't there today, but did answer my phone call later. Went back to service and talked to a manager (Rich Frost) and another adviser (Taylor Swager). Now they are going to get the oil change, the broken gas cap, recall, and diagnose the four wheel drive issue done. Promised to call me before 3pm. I called back at 3:29 to check in. This time Taylor talked over me and acted like I was irritating him, but did tell me that a tech was looking at it. He called me back at 4:53 and informed me they had to get a part and would start working on it in the morning and might be done by lunch, again talking louder and over me one two many times. CUSTOMER SERVICE is HORRIBLE! Marty I hope this reaches you personally We do a lot of business through Chevy...............BAD look for you as We are expanding fleets of trucks. Shady sales/pricing/fee practices on used cars. I obtained a written offer for a used vehicle at Cable Dahmer through Sam's Club Auto Buyers Club. The offer was signed by a Cable Dahmer sales ass I obtained a written offer for a used vehicle at Cable Dahmer through Sam's Club Auto Buyers Club. The offer was signed by a Cable Dahmer sales associate. When I called the dealership to arrange the purchase, they indicated they would not honor the written price, because it was from a 3rd party website (despite the fact that the offer letter was signed from Cable Dahmer). After multiple calls/emails, eventually, they agreed to drop the price on the vehicle very close to what the original written offer was. However, they then attempted to add on a $1,400 in fees, including a $890 "3M and Nitrogen" fee, which they said was to put nitrogen in each of the tires, and for the 3M door edge guards and cup guards. When I explained I didn't want or need the "3M and Nitrogen" they claimed the service was already done to every car on the lot. If that is true, then include it in the price of the car you are selling, don't add it as a separate "Fee" after the customer has already negotiated a price on the vehicle. Overall, very shady sales/pricing/fee practices. Stay away from this dealership. More
I appreciate the excellent, and competent service I received from Cable Dahmer. I had terrible service from Molle Chevrolet, and am so thankful to now find a dealer that knows how to care for a new Ma received from Cable Dahmer. Yucky yucky yucky! I would not advise getting your GM vehicle serviced here. They never fixed the recurring issue, and it eventually caused engine failure. Then they replaced it, and guess what....it locked up again in less than seven miles. Do not get service here, and buying a car there sucks as well. Go anywhere but Cable Dahmer. More
I had a rather unpleasant experience here. I found car that they had listed online and went in to look at it. The car was a two year old smaller SUV. The salesman I worked with was very nice. I found car that they had listed online and went in to look at it. The car was a two year old smaller SUV. The salesman I worked with was very nice. Although he did not seem to know a lot about the car I was looking at, which wasn't that big of a deal as I had done a lot of research on the model before coming in. After test driving the car, I was given a price by the sales manager that was $8,000 above what they had listed it online and $4,000 above what I could have bought a brand new one of the same package. They also kept asking me about what I wanted my monthly payment to be and how much I had for a down payment, which did not make any sense because I was financing with a personal loan through my bank and would be paying them cash for the vehicle. We went back and forth several times and finally they gave me a cash price that was $4,000 above what they had it listed for online and around the same price I could buy a brand new one. They also insisted I sign the little scratch paper next to the offer as we were negotiating, which I found infuriating because it felt like they were trying to manipulate me into agreeing on the spot to the price on the paper. They kept insisting I could save money if I financed through them, but I would have never been comfortable with that, and I explained that I have a personal banker that I have known for years and trust. Overall, the process seemed dishonest and shady. I ended up going somewhere else to purchase a vehicle. Even if the price would have been right, my gut was telling me that I could not trust them. I would just suggest to anyone buying a vehicle here to do extensive research on the models you are interested in, what they are worth, and know what you want before going in. More
Mike Nelson needs to except the word NO. They found a better deal for me. Paperwork brought to me to sign. That was 11-30-2022. This is 12-6-2022. I just called to get a copy of it sent to me by mail. Nelson asked me more than 2 times. Is there something I am looking for. I had to say more than once. I want a copy of what I signed on November 30. I guess I will see if I get it or not. More
I bought a car at this dealership in June of 2020. It was new but had 4000 miles on it. Was told I would have 3 years or 36,000 miles, which meant 32,000 miles for me since it had 4,000 on it. Now It was new but had 4000 miles on it. Was told I would have 3 years or 36,000 miles, which meant 32,000 miles for me since it had 4,000 on it. Now I find out I don't have the 3 years either! They flat out lied to me! I also signed up for the "pay ahead on oil changes for 5 years" because they said I could use that at any GM Dealer if I had to move (I didn't think I would be in the KC area for 5 years). Now I want to move and I found out it only works at their dealership, so I am going to lose out on that as well. This dealership is a disgrace. More
It took 3 weeks to get my truck in for an oil change - had to be worked into their schedule - not mine - price increased from $85 the last time to $109 this time - was told the price of oil went up - how had to be worked into their schedule - not mine - price increased from $85 the last time to $109 this time - was told the price of oil went up - however looking at past oil changes, the price of the oil was the same as previous times - was not pleased with the service department - have used Cable Dahmer service since 2004 - bought several vehicles from them - will probably check around for service departments. I have never in my life been so disappointed in a business. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. If I didn't care about keeping my vehicle a certified Chevrolet used car. I could have business. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. If I didn't care about keeping my vehicle a certified Chevrolet used car. I could have done it myself in my driveway with just a floor jack, jackstand and socket set in just an hour. But instead it took 3 hours of my day by taking it to a so-called professional service center. Then charged me $202.00 dollars for that 3 hour oil change and tire rotation. I definitely will be going to a different Chevrolet dealership from here on out. I purchased my vehicle from Cable Dahmer Independence and had my 1st service there. But after this 2nd service I will not be taking it back there for it's 3rd service. I will also let all my friends and family know that they would be better off going to a different Chevrolet dealership. Due to their poor customer service and the poor excuse they gave me for why it took so long. Which had nothing to do with my vehicle. If you value your time and money this is not the place for you.
