Buying a car online from a dealer that is 6 hours from you can be stressful. That is if you don’t have a good dealer. The inverse of this is potentially paying more to buy the car you want from a dealer c you can be stressful. That is if you don’t have a good dealer. The inverse of this is potentially paying more to buy the car you want from a dealer close to you but settling for a car that either doesn’t have the features you want, is the wrong color or has high milage. Expanding your search offers up a lot of possibilities but some potential risk and downside. Once you arrive at the dealer, having traveled a good distance you can be at their mercy to get the deal done. I have experienced the up and downside of this equation several times. Having said all that, I want to give a heartfelt thanks to the guys at Capital City CDJR in Missouri. Especially my salesman JJ Waterman and sales manager Jacob. They reduced the price (which was already really good) slightly so I could qualify for the used ev tax credit, gave me a good deal on my trade and got me financed for a rate lower than I expected. They are a Dodge dealer but I was buying a used Mustang Mach E and they had a former Ford salesman (didn’t get his name but a big thank you), who knew the car inside and out, explain all the features and help me get it set up. I recommend these guys highly to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. They went above and beyond from a customer service perspective and didn’t pressure me one bit. Service experience is terrible since new ownership. Prices increased by 20% for the same service and without reason. What has always been an 80 dollar oil change is now 113. And I paid 30 dollars for a tire rotation that didn’t even happen, thanks to the tpms for revealing that to me. So 150 dollars later for an oil change and no tire rotation even though I was charged and I’d say the “value” isn’t really there anymore. It’s a shame because the dealership used to be fantastic. You should take your business elsewhere like I plan to. More
