Got a car from them years ago and I just found some paperwork that reminded me of them. Really unethical what they do there. First car I got, the side airbag wasn't even there. It was empty. Car I bought made weird noises when I hit even smaller bumps. It made a rumble sound. Loaner car- the brakes barely worked and I had to push hard all the way down. I almost rear ended someone. Not safe. If you get a car from here, make sure you bring your own inspector!! Or bring it to someone right away. If there's issues demand they take it back. More

Just Horrible! My mother and I were online searching for my first car, being that I am so young we decided to look for a used car. We came across car city in Danbury My mother and I were online searching for my first car, being that I am so young we decided to look for a used car. We came across car city in Danbury and found a Gold/Tan 2005 Nissan Maxima. Everything was just perfect, well thats how they made it seem. We were excited that it was in such good shape a such a great price. However we live about an hour and a half away so this wasn’t a quick trip. We spoke to Charlie (the owner) twice on the phone and he ensured that the car was there and that I could look at it. We got there after a two hour drive and looked at the car and it was keyed up. On the hood of the car, the B word was written across it and the A word on the side with key scratches all over. Charlie never mentioned this because we would’ve never came that far for that. Charlie tried to sweet talk us into just getting a Honda civic but obviously that’s not what I wanted. How could you try to sell a car that is keyed up without telling the buyer as if I would like to drive around with profanity on my first car!!! I would not recommend this place, that was very sleezy of Charlie! More

I was Wrong about Car City Back in May of 2017, I wrote a bad review out of anger and frustration, I apology to Charlie for calling and venting about my car that I had problems Back in May of 2017, I wrote a bad review out of anger and frustration, I apology to Charlie for calling and venting about my car that I had problems with, I should have not called and yelled like I did for it did nothing for both of us but made a bad day. Long story short, I took the car to the dealer and found it needs a new engine. I didn't know what to do, I had set a fire on the bridge back to Car City, So I decided to call Charlie again, and first told him how sorry I was to yell at him when I could have done my research before I when to pick out a car, I would have found out the problems that car had. So Charlie with his forgiving self, (thank's charlie) , told me to bring the car back and we will work out something.. He has kept his word, and for that, I am grateful, and driving another car. Greg was the most caring salesman I've ever met, I recommend you hit him up when your ready for a car. He really listens to what your needs are when picking out a car, and will help you get what you need. More

All good for me bought my car in 2015 which was a bday gift to myself that Car City helped make happen. POOR AND RUDE AND VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE TOWARD WOMEN I was hung up on by Charlie - and verbally assaulted by his son. So much to the point I asked his did he speak to his wife in the same manor? Charlie is a ticking time bomb, I noticed his anger and controlling mannerism toward me once the vehicle began acting up. I have had several issues with the vehicle from it has left Charlie's lot. As I work with women in ABUSIVE relationships and trained in SA and DV I can advise women to steer away from working verbally or physically with Car City. I was verbally assaulted and am fearful personally of returning to the location. I was told by Charlie that he stands behind his vehicle, well I didn't realize it was with verbal and emotional insult. I will not feel comfortable working with Charlie to resolve this issue and request his to take back his vehicle before going to another forum. More

Bunch of liars !! Recently purchased a car from car city. The tire sensor light was on when purchased and they said don't worry about it, we'll fix it next week when yo Recently purchased a car from car city. The tire sensor light was on when purchased and they said don't worry about it, we'll fix it next week when you come to pick up your real plates. I figured that was reasonable since it was just a tire pressure light. We scheduled an appointment for the following Saturday since we both work during the week. On that Saturday they said the plates didn't arrive yet but come anyway and we will fix the problem. When we left with the car after they said they fixed it about 5 min later the light came back on. We called and they said they checked the tire pressure and reset the light. Ok whatever. He said come when we get the plates and they'll change the sensor. So 3 weeks after that on the date that the temp plates expire (1 month after purchase) we were suppose to pick up the real plates and get the sensor changed. We set that appointment and left the car with them. When we gotback there Charlie said the sensor was changed but they did not receive the plates yet but they would deliver them to us when they arrived and they gave us a dealer plate. Ok whatever again !! 😩 5 minutes after leaving the light came on again so my girl called Charlie and he started getting rude and angry saying she had an attitude and he yelled at her and hung up. So I said let's go to a real garage and see if car city really did the work they said they did or did they lie. Guess what the real garage said ? They said nothing was changed and the computer was telling them what was wrong. But wait.... didn't car city say they just changed the sensor ? So I called Charlie and politely asked what part exactly was changed on the car cause this garage im at says none of the 4 sensors are new. He started getting rude and disrespectful with me but I held my composure cause arguing with a lying fool will get u nowhere. After he started ranting he said let me ask the mechanic the exact part he changed so I can see for myself. When he came back to the phone he said he misunderstood the mechanic and no part was changed. Mind u we went thru this 3 weeks before and he said he knew the part that needed to be changed and said they changed it while we were there. We live an hour away and have been there 3 times to get it fixed and the light is still on and now we have dealer plates again.
