"Sold with broken brake lines and wouldn’t cover the costs!"

Just bought an 04 Yukon XL two weeks ago. On the test drive I noticed that it lacked braking power and that I had to push the pedal pretty far to get any action. I thought it was just because the pads were low (about 1/4 “ left at most). This and the absence of a parking brake were mentioned to Austin, who (reluctantly) cut a little from the price. When I asked about crash history, they said it had none. LIE! It had to have the whole drover’s side replaced in 07 due to a crash! On the way home we noticed white smoke coming fr9m the undercarriage and three chips with radiating cracks in the windshield. Next day I had the dash go dark while driving to work in the dark. A few days later I lost all braking power on the interstate! Come to find out, there are two large leaks in the lines were it rusted through. One was over the exhaust, causing the smoke we saw the first day, and the other was right where the line goes into the rear wheel. When contacted, they said we needed to bring the truck down for inspection to determine IF this was something that should have been caught/fixed by them. I sent them pics of the rotten, leaking lines, but the still wanted me to pay the more than $500 tow the death trap back to them. Keep in mind that they still hadn’t guaranteed that any work would be done if I could get it there.They were not willing to help with the towing cost, or fix the windshield, dash electrical, or power locks that rarely worked to make up for the added cost so they could do what they should have done before. After getting the run around for a week, I said I wanted a refund and to bring the car back, to which they said no. If you value your money, or your life for that matter, stay faraway from these lying xxxxxxxx! The cars look nice, but they aren’t what they say. I wouldn’t buy a used hammer from these guys!

Eric, we are very sorry for the issues you are having with your vehicle. Our records show you frist contacted us 1 week after purchase. We did discount for a deficiency in the brakes at the time of sale that you agreed to. We cannot control where a vehicle has a issue that causes a break down of any sort. We agreed to take a look at the lines after you had called and explained the issues you were having. On the phone you told Austin it would be about $200 for a tow to our dealership, and your main concern was that you would have to tow it home as well because we could not guarantee any repair until we looked at the vehicle. We have no way to know what kind of condition the brake lines are in until we physically have one of our trusted shops diagnose the issues you have described. In terms of the accident, we have an AutoCheck available for our customers to review on every one of our vehicles. Austin would not lie about accidents or any other matter, and nor would any of our dealership employees. In reference to the locks you have stated are working intermittently, you have mentioned multiple times that they worked great at time of purchase and have began to work less with use. We have no way to test when a lock actuator or switch will give out or begin to fail. You have mentioned there are 3 crackes in the windshield, but during our final inspection we noted that the winshield did not have any crackes in it. Also this is something you never mentioned to any of the staff while at the dealership. We sell these vehicles AS IS and have been more than willing to work with you trough this process. We are sorry you do not feel this way.

"Know ALL the questions to ask before you sign"

Dealt with Austin. He knew I was in a bind and needed a vehicle, so all I got after he "discussed a deal with his manager" was a token $100 off.. It was not until after I signed and paid that I was told there is only one key and opener, that I should "just pick one up." Yeah, "just" over $100 for that. AC went out within a week and yes, there was a fairly immediate repair done. One star. Great guys at the auto repair shop. Window papers said radio/ CD fine but LED not working. I didn't have a CD along on test drive but radio worked. When I had a chance to put one in at home, it didn't work. I called to notify but I live in Ozaukee, couldn't stop during business hours for several weeks, Brian was helpful when I stopped to make sure it wasnt something I was doing wrong, he couldn't make it work either. He told me they would check problem on internet and get back to me. - never did. That was in June. So I called today and get Mr. Austin again who says these can fail at anytime, it suppisefly worked the day I bought it and I should have known he keeps a CD handy and asked him for it to try before buying. it's not a safety concern so they don't feel it's important I guess to live up to the ad, but they would get me a discount at their audio service, which can be expensive. I had waited too long to tell them, not their problem! Too bad, so sad. Buyer beware. You have tio anticipate and get it in writing with these guys. It's all about the buck. They don't need repeat business to stay in business.

Good afternoon Maggie. We are sorry to you are feeling this way. We did have the CD player tested before the sale and it was working. We do sell these vehicles AS IS but were more than happy to get you a discount. It was 2 months after the sale that you mentioned the CD player was not working. We never said anything to the effect of your on your own or to bad so sad. Austin just said if you wanted help getting it repaired we can get an appointment set up with our discount. We have been in buisness a long time and have hundreds of repeat customers.
