Terrible experience. Will not shop there again. Firstly, my transfer was delayed, and I was told I would receive a refund of the cost for this. This has not happened. I r Will not shop there again. Secondly, the traction warning light came on after driving for a week and the vehicle would not start. Carmax towed it and performed 3 diagnostics in trying to figure out why the code would not clear. They could not clear the code. I asked for the details and did some research. Turns out it was the brake light switch which fortunately was a $25 part. I am not a mechanic but changed it out in 20 minutes and low and behold the problem was solved. Why on earth was Carmax not able to figure this out I will never know. If I ever get my $100 refund, I may recommend but until then.........stay away from this place! More

Sundeep was kind and helpful, he worked with me on getting a test drive set up for a Jeep Gladiator diesel that I had ordered to the store. I noticed that it did not appear to have some of the accesso getting a test drive set up for a Jeep Gladiator diesel that I had ordered to the store. I noticed that it did not appear to have some of the accessories that were listed on the listing for it, and they were able to reduce the price to cover the cost of the accessories that were missing. I took it for a test drive and everything checked out, their 10 day return policy and 30 day warranty was nice to have while I shopped for extended factory warranties. The process from picking out a vehicle online, having it shipped, and setting up my appointment was easy, I love having the self-service option without the pressure of a salesman. Pick your ride, and have it sent to your local store, check it out and finish the final paperwork in store. I'm pleasantly satisfied with CarMax and my new to me Jeep. Thanks! More
I got a fair deal on my trade-in & on the truck I had been seeking. The process took much longer than my previous experience at Carmax, as I indicated that I wanted the vehicle 3 hours before I was able been seeking. The process took much longer than my previous experience at Carmax, as I indicated that I wanted the vehicle 3 hours before I was able to walk out the door - mostly sitting there alone waiting for something or other. The interior wasn't particularly clean, but they did agree to pay $150 reimbursement for detailing. I took it to a Toyota dealer afterward and spent $1000 on needed service items like filters & fluid replacements. Payoff amount for trade-in today: $4687. Daily interest accrual: $0.51. Carmax: "It will take 10-15 days for everything to clear, so you'll need to pay today's trade-in value plus interest that will accrue in the interim. That amounts to $5,866 that you'll need to factor into the transaction." Me: "15 days of interest is $7.65. You're trying to charge me nearly $1200 in interest, which equates to 2,311 days - 6.3 years. What gives?" Correcting this cost me another hour. More
