Easy transaction, worked with Matt to get the car we wanted ordered. Traded in our existing vehicle, and got a fair price for it. My last 2 purchases I made buying my Audis was with Carvanna, I decided to try Carmax Overall I think this was a better experience. I started talking to Robert in Las vegas at a call max car center, top notch , then as all car max people work within the same data base, when it got to this local place in naperville, I was not impressed I didnt feel special, Tim was ok , asad was hot air, but the one who really pulled through for me was Courtney, she was awesome a hard worker, and I felt wanted . I was set to have home delievery, and I changed it to go to the store. Courtney was amazing and cute as well.. The one thing i absolutely felt was bad was trade in i had a offer from Carvanna for 16k on a Audi a5 79k excellent condition., carmax settled at 12k... thieves... They also have a policy where you have to resubmitt after one month BUT the deal is not even done untill you run the last check through the finance company the deal after a month I waited plus another 3 weeks for Illinois title, thats where carvanna gets the point your deal is done... If it wasnt for Courtney I almost pulled out of the deal... But i still give 5 stars the biggest turn off was when i normally like to call the office and John the sales manager scolded me for calling the office.. saying they are to busy. no one talks to me like that.. anyways would i reccomend them yea i would probably do it again however they would not steal my trade in next time im selling outright to a private buyer, i could of got 22k easily... thank you Courtney! We worked with Moe at the Naperville location. He promptly had the cars we were interested in brought up and allowed us to test drive them all. No pushy tactics, no pressure. Once we picked something, we were out in less than 2 hours even with the financing. More
Joe is a great salesman. He was actively involved in helping us chose the right car. He correctly steered me away from a car I was thinking about buying. When I had to leave for 45 minutes, he had no problem waiting for me to return to sign the final papers. There was no unnecessary small talk from Jaun oand Jennifer G. Which I appreciated as my mother who is 90 was ill, I live three hours away and needed a car then and there if possible, the gasket blow on our Avolon and the oil leaked out and the enginelocked up, There.was introductions and such, I was there to take care of business and they were there to help me how I prefer to shop and take care of my need. Great job! More
Car was as advertised and at a price point we wanted. Pick up was smooth and went as planned. Was nice to test drive it, even though we were 99% sure we were going to buy it. We are happy with the salesman Adam Duncan he was very helpful & pleasant & easy to work with. The reason I only gave three stars was because the car we purchased only had 1 key fob & we had to spend almo helpful & pleasant & easy to work with. The reason I only gave three stars was because the car we purchased only had 1 key fob & we had to spend almost $600.00 to get another key fob. We believe that CarMax should have given us a better deal on the car or at least deducted the amount we had to pay for a new key fob. This is the fourth auto we have purchased from CarMax & apparently loyalty doesn't appear to matter for CarMax which is very disappointing. to us. I believe that it would be good customer service if someone from CarMax contacted us & offered some compensation for our extra out of the pocket costs. More
