CarMax

This was my first and last time to buy a vehicle from CarMax. I wouldn't recommend CarMax to anyone to purchase a vehicle. My wife and I bought a 2021 Kia Seltos on Dec 05, 2025. We never buy a car from CarMax. I wouldn't recommend CarMax to anyone to purchase a vehicle. My wife and I bought a 2021 Kia Seltos on Dec 05, 2025. We never buy a car from CarMax. We live in Barstow but wanted to buy a car from CarMax in Ontario because it has more car selection than the one in Victorville. After one week of buying our first car from CarMax on Dec 05, 2025, the car has mechanical issue. It has a #2 cylinder misfire. The cost of that car is $19, 783.00. We didn't drive that car a lot. With that cost and already has a mechanical issue after one week of purchasing? That's a rip off. After returning the car back I was gonna exchange with another car on the lot. But the employee that was helping me name Nick told me that I cannot exchange with another vehicle unless I applied for a loan from CarMax. Knowing that I don't have a ride home from Ontario to Barstow. What kind of xxxx is that? You still owe me $19, 783.00 and you don't tell me where I should get a loan from. It's my own decision to what I should do. I changed my mind of not exchange with another car. I just wanted to get my check they owed me. But then Nick told me that carmax won't be able to give me a ride back to Barstow because it is too far. CarMax has the worst customer service. I ended up driving the car back to Barstow. They wouldn't care if the car broke down somewhere else. That shows their true character. I ended up turning the car to Carmax in Victorville on my day off on Sunday and I'm still waiting for CarMax to returned the check to my bank institution. This is the worst car buying experience. They didn't help you to return the car but try to make your experience even worst. As long as I'm alive on the planet I will never buy a car from carmax. More

Had to work though some early technical issues of my new vehicle. Julia with the service department in Burbank was exceptional.
