Didn't help that they were trying to squeeze the guy next to me on his trade-in at that same moment for some minor thing on his car. When I then I needed to order parts for said repair, dealt with the service desk who forgot to actually order them, lost all previous notes on the situation, and left me with still more administrative hassle to sort it all out. With hindsight I should have just bought new. This 1 year used car saved me about $4.5k net after the repair vs new, which was not worth it given it's not a new car and it was a poor experience. Other issues, eg front cupholders were pretty nasty, I imagine they missed cleaning because they didn't bother opening that cover, washer fluid was empty, that sort of thing, minor stuff but still more reminders that Carmax as a whole does not take pride cars they sell. Deny conversations we had. Deny any and all wrong doing. Somehow this experience turned out to be MY fault, according to him. My family member needs a car now. I’ve decided on WHEN we will come back to CarMax. When xxxx freezes over. Where should I send the xxxxxxxx $150.00 worth of coupons Mgmt decided was a parting gift for my xxxxty experience? More
Made my second purchase from this store, actually traded in the car I bought from them 3 years ago. The set up is so easy, everything is upfront during the entire process. Communication is great with email in the car I bought from them 3 years ago. The set up is so easy, everything is upfront during the entire process. This was such an amazingly simple experience I have ever had buying a car. Calvin communicated with me via text for an Express pick up and had a Lyft sent to bring me to the dealership at no charge.
