Going through the initial vehicle purchase was a decent experience, but I had to provide a low rating after finding out my front bumper had some minor damage from one of the employees over-tightening the b experience, but I had to provide a low rating after finding out my front bumper had some minor damage from one of the employees over-tightening the bolts near the middle of the license plate bracket, which caused an indentation in the bumper paint. I spoke to Jonathan in the service department, explained my situation, and sent over some photos, which he said would result in a new bumper replacement ( still within the 30-day warranty). I arrived on the day of my appointment at the service department, handed over the keys only to be told that the service was completed within a 10-15 minute waiting period. The service department removed the front license plate bracket and basically said the repair was complete. I tried to explain to Eduardo that the bumper had been damaged when an employee installed the license plate bracket, but he said there's nothing that can be done and that the front bumper cannot be replaced. For anyone planning to purchase a vehicle from CarMax or any dealership, please make sure the license plate and license plate frame/bracket are installed correctly. More

Sold me a broken down car without break pads and then wouldn't send a tow truck to pick it up after they said they would repair. Been waiting on my rental car reimbursement for a month now. Wouldn't recommend my worst enemy purchase a car from here. The service manager told me "that's what happens when you buy a used car" when I inquired why the brakes and rotors needed to be replaced the day after I purchased, so wouldn't trust anything they say or sell. Customer service claims they have no record of me reaching out for help yet also approved the repairs. Unsure how you can approve repairs and also have no records of the issue, but clearly lack of documentation is an ongoing theme across departments. More
