I would like to see the dealership pick up the pace on the delivery of the vehicle, seems like they could have been quicker once we inked the deal. More

Unfortunately my experience was not the best. Even after leaving the dealership. I ordered a car from out of state to be shipped to Reno. I was getting text updates about the vehicle’s status. I Even after leaving the dealership. I ordered a car from out of state to be shipped to Reno. I was getting text updates about the vehicle’s status. I got a text when it arrived at the Reno store, when it was going through each of its inspections and when the vehicle was ready for me to test drive. The text I received said “the vehicle is ready to test drive and someone will contact you shortly”. 24 hours went by and I hadn’t heard anything so I called to schedule it. I’m assuming I talked to a call center person and they said that the vehicle was ready to test drive and they could get me scheduled. Got me scheduled for a few hours later that same day. I got there and it was starting off easy-ish. I got in to test drive and could instantly tell the car hadn’t been cleaned on the inside. I also noticed the tire pressure light was on. When I got back from the test drive I mentioned this to the seller and he kinda cut me off in the way like he knew what I was going to say about the tire pressure light and continued to say it was probably due to the elevation change and they will get it looked at, and the car cleaned and then they’d send me on my way. Well ended up that there was a leak in one of the tires and they had to look at it before letting me drive off the lot. Fair enough. They tell me that if it’s something like a nail they can get it patched up and to me by tomorrow(Friday) if not, it’s probably a bigger issue and may require them to replace all 4 tires due to the vehicle being AWD. They said if that were the case, I probably wouldn’t hear from them until Monday or Tuesday. Didn’t hear anything from them until Tuesday and surprise surprise they just patched the tire. Why it took 5 days is beyond me. Other appointments or not, I just purchased a vehicle for 1 and 2, it would take no more than an hour of labor to do. So I waited 5 days to get my new vehicle, not for new tires, but for a patch, that I could’ve done myself. I was upset. Still upset. This was my very first vehicle I’ve purchased that didn’t cost $5k off Craigslist. Completely ruined my first experience and took the excitement out of buying a new car. Didn’t even offer to take a picture of me with the bow with my car. Anyway, I get in it to leave and noticed nothing inside has been cleaned. I can confirm that because the half drank water bottle that the carmax employee gave me, that I left in the car from the test drive, was still in the vehicle. Stains on the seats that I know will come off are still visible. One of the rims of the vehicle is covered in red dirt dust. I wouldn’t have driven anywhere for that to happen. They put the absolute cheapest floor mats possible. Put windshield wipers that don’t even fit my windshield. Literally the whole blade doesn’t touch the windshield so when it rained yesterday and I was driving my view was obstructed. Just absolute lack of professionalism for a vehicle that’s going to cost me $40k. I’m sure I’m writing this review for nothing. No one will contact me about this. Because clearly no one cares at this location. It sucks this was my experience. It sucks I have to share my experience with everyone that asks about my new car. Just all around disappointing More
My experience with CarMax was so easy. I traded in a vehicle which they gave me a great price for and my shopping experience for my new car was pain free. I never felt pressured and I knew I traded in a vehicle which they gave me a great price for and my shopping experience for my new car was pain free. I never felt pressured and I knew if I had any questions someone was there to help. They have a huge variety of cars to choose from. My overall experience was wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new car. More
