It is always our priority to provide a great customer experience to all our guests and customers. Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict when components in any pre-owned vehicle may fail and as a vehicle ages, there may be repairs needed along the way. The vehicle you selected was an “AS IS” Buick Lacrosse and Our Finance Manager provided you with the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty that may have covered these repairs. In your review you stated a NHTSA service bulletin for this vehicle would have corrected the breakdown. You may be confusing a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) with a Recall. Recalls are required and mandated by the Federal Government to be corrected. Technical Service Bulletins are not automatically required, and the Manufacturer will only correct the issue IF the vehicle is experiencing the exact characteristics of the TSB. Also, Manufactures are very clear on how long they will cover TSB’s. This TSB you are referencing expired in January 2019 and your vehicle would not have been covered. Also, not every vehicle model that has a TSB experiences issues. For the most part vehicle models are more likely not to experience issues. If a vehicle owner reported experiencing an issue during the bulletin coverage period and if it was determined that the issue was caused because of anything referenced in a TSB, then it would be covered. However, until the owner reports the issue then it would not have been addressed because the issue did not exist. We are sorry that you feel that this issue was ignored but that is not the case. If the issue existed before with your Buick Lacrosse, then it would have been addressed. We apologize that your experience was not to your expectations.
