We are sorry you feel this way as this is not how our company does business and take your review very seriously. We have investigated your appointment and from the details, the vehicle you were quoted on over the phone, is different than the one you wanted. The information you brought in from True Car had a different stock number and vin. Unfortunately the vehicles had a $2200 difference in price. As for your deposit, your refund was signed off on this morning and will be returned as promised.

Actually no, we did not take a quote over the phone it was through the internet (True Car) and we have the emails from your e-commerce department and sales people to prove it. You saw them!!! You are being deceitful in your response to this review. You even contradict yourself, (was the quote over the phone or through True Car and your e-commerce department)? You have the exact emails I have. Nevertheless, the sales person Matthew knew it was the same car. He took the deposit on the car with that VIN number and stock number associated with it. So, if my deposit went on a different car that constitutes fraud. Maybe I should contact the authorities? Finally, your salesman used the True Care price quote from YOUR DEALERSHIP'S E-COMMERCE DEPARTMENT to organize a test drive in the exact car quoted. It was the only one on your lot with the options we wanted. This was verified again by the VIN and your stock number, so how could it possibly be a different car? Again, your deceitful response and lack of accountability in this matter is not only unfortunate but also disturbing. My next complaint will be with the Better Business Bureau and quite possibly filing court papers and a discovery for our losses.

Bruce and Paula, Per the discussion that you had with our General Manager, we do apologize for the error in the quote. in looking further into the estimate, It seems there was an 8 transposed in the quote that was sent by our employee. We would be happy to accept the $27,200 cash offer plus tax and applicable fees and personally deliver the vehicle to your home, as we know you live an hour and 15 minutes away and would like to make up for the estimate error.

***Transposed a 7 instead of an 8??? NOT LIKELY !!*** I tried to work with you on the matter. Your General Sales Manager Mark McAllister wrote up an Illinois Standard Buyers Order it was wrong too. The sales tax on the taxable total of 27,500 at 6.25% was noted at $1,924.31. The tax at 6.25% on $27,500 is 1,718.75 a difference of $205.56. Is this an error too or another scam to offset the MILITARY discount we asked for? I believe the latter given your xxxxxxx history with us. We as a military family are not doing business with you and I would warn others who read this to stay away as well. As a matter of fact I am considering contacting the authorities in this matter because this blatant fraud prima facie.

Bruce, Please see your email as my General Manager sent you the Illinois Tax information that will educate you on the taxation of vehicle purchases. In addition, we would never leverage a Military bonus on a vehicle purchase. The US Military is held very dear to the Gary Lang Auto Group family as many of our employees are vets and we work with a number of Military Organizations. This simply isnt a reasonable accusation. Caveat emptor! Buyer Beware I went by the bill of sale you sent Paula and I. It has a 6.25% in the box that says "sales tax". If that number is incorrect, perhaps it is you that needs educated not me. Stop trying to deflect accountability!!!
