Horrible Experience with the Service Department I made an appointment to have my 2006 Ford Explorer serviced with a tune-up, struts, and front & rear brakes. After this was complete, I kept getting I made an appointment to have my 2006 Ford Explorer serviced with a tune-up, struts, and front & rear brakes. After this was complete, I kept getting early morning phone calls(I work late at night) that there were problems like an oil pan seal leak and a loose timing chain. I was quoted a price to replace the front timing chain, tensioners, and oil pan gaskets, and then I got a call that while disassembled, they found more damage and I needed a new engine. I told them to just finish the timing chain and tensioners and the gaskets. When I picked up the SUV, the a/c was not working, nor the window washers (which they had fixed) were not working, and then when I got home and looked at the bill, I saw that they charged me the same for NOT replacing the timing chain as they had quoted for replacing the item. So now I was left with a $4000.00 bill and an undriveable auto. More
My experience with Down's Ford began 5 years ago when I was looking to purchase a brand new Mustang. I came to Down's Ford because I learned of their Motorsports Department, which made it possible for me was looking to purchase a brand new Mustang. I came to Down's Ford because I learned of their Motorsports Department, which made it possible for me to customize my Mustang with Ford Racing parts to help make my car be unique and perform better. During that process Rick was extremely helpful in explaining the options that were available to me that would allow me to keep my warranty. Even then, I knew my long term goal would be to add a supercharger to my Mustang and that Rick would be the first person I called once my warranty was up. Rick was extremely helpful in explaining all of my questions about the supercharger kit I was looking to purchase and the install process. Based on my previous experience, I knew my Mustang was in safe hands and the job would be done right. Even during the 2 day install process, Rick kept me up to date on their progress which I greatly appreciated. Words can not explain how pleased I was with how well the car performed during my ride home. Once again, thank you to Rick Riccardi III and SVT Tech Bob Cook for your help in making my Mustang dream a reality. Brian Luby More

We wouldn't even consider doing business else drivers/owners/customers. Downs Ford and their staff are by far the best we've ever done business with. We wouldn't even consider doing business elsewhere. We've always driven the best made cars in the world, now we have a Dealer that matches it's vehicles. I talked several times with Rick in motorsports - simply amazing guy and hooked me up with scheduling my Boss 302 for track key install. I was forwarded over to Debbie who knows more about cars and parts amazing guy and hooked me up with scheduling my Boss 302 for track key install. I was forwarded over to Debbie who knows more about cars and parts and SERVICE than any mechanic or shop i've ever been to in almost 30 years of driving. I work in manhattan and had to drive to Freehold, then to Downs in Toms River. Debbie gave me her cell number and once i arrived she came and let me park my Boss in a inside bay for the next days work. The job was completed today and Debbie called me to let me know by 9:45 AM Debbie also going to met me the next so I could pickup the BOSS with new track key installation completed - even kept my Stang inside as it was raining during the day. Both Rick and Debbie are extremely dedicated, knowledgeable and service oriented. Its obvious they LOVE their jobs and everything FORD. so kudos to Debbie and Rick from Downs Ford/Motorsports More
