I purchased a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro from Acura of Sherman Oaks about three months ago, and unfortunately my experience after the sale has been extremely disappointing. Recently, I took the truck to a Toyota dealership for service and an inspection. During that visit they discovered multiple issues that should have been caught during a proper pre-sale inspection — including a broken front coil spring and a cracked rear drum brake backing plate. These are not minor cosmetic issues; they are safety-related components that raise serious concerns about how the vehicle passed inspection prior to being sold. I contacted the dealership to discuss the situation and spoke with a manager. The only solution offered was for them to provide the springs while expecting me to cover the labor. Considering the condition the vehicle was found in, this did not feel like a reasonable resolution. I also attempted to escalate the matter by contacting the General Manager and left an email but have not received a response. I understand that used vehicles can have wear and tear, but discovering significant mechanical and safety-related issues within a few months of purchase raises serious concerns about the inspection process before the vehicle was sold. At this point, I simply wanted to share my experience so other buyers are aware and can make informed decisions. More

At the time of purchase, I was told that the oil change plan was a lifetime plan. At no point during the sales discussion was I informed that this plan was restricted to use only at your specific de change plan was a lifetime plan. This limitation was a material detail and should have been clearly disclosed before the purchase was finalized. I only became aware of this restriction later, at which point I immediately brought the issue to your attention. While I did ultimately receive a refund, I was penalized despite the fact that I never used the plan. Being charged a penalty under these circumstances felt unfair, particularly since the misunderstanding stemmed from incomplete or unclear information provided at the time of sale. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially as a customer who expected transparency and professionalism from an Acura dealership.
