I have had very good luck with my 2012 Fiat 500C. I have not however enjoyed my experience with Centrel Fiat. This week as a perfect example of what happens. I come to get an oil change and I have a nail on the dash board with no backlighting. They tell me they might be able to fix it but they can't be sure they have the parts. They call me maybe an hour and a half into the appointment and tell me the have to replace the wire harness for $300. It's one small dial in the dash. They tell me its 2 hours of work. We like the car and its only got 70K miles on it so I begrudgingly say yes. No more than 40 minutes later the call and say the car is done. They tell the good news is they found a bulb so the didn't replace the harness and that saved $30. So $290 to replace light bulb. When I asked why so much the said the whole dash has to come out. I've had to deal with them for 6 years now and nothing is ever smooth. I had to pay to replace a door handle falling off despite having an extended bumper to bumper warrantee I paid extra for. They replaced the arm rest twice because it fell apart and it fell apart again. I would not buy another car from them after this. They also sent an e-mail to me using my sons account. No idea how they got his e-mail. Very disconcerting.

"Central Fiat Service department is the best"

We recently went to Central Fiat with a problem with the car radio. We saw Shawn, who we always see and ask for. Shawn is highly responsive, easy to deal with, and very willing to explore a problem that may not have an easy answer. Shawn got the problem resolved on the first try - the radio needed to be replaced. He made sure that we knew the timeframe for completion, and that it worked for us. We have a total of three Fiats. Two were purchased at Central Fiat. We like Fiats, but what we really like is that the servicing of our cars is reliably good at Central Fiat. This matters. A new car is ultimately only as good as the service it receives. With Shawn directing the service and repairs, we feel pretty confident in that regard.

"Scuzzy service sales tactics"

Bring the car in for warranty service and they insist that you agree to minimum charge if not covered by warranty. I asked that they call me if it needs anything off warranty and they refuse. Also they promised me a ride to work quickly when I scheduled but couldn't offer ride to office that was 2 minutes away for 30 minutes. Guess they have monopoly on fiat service in this area. Beware before buying Fiat
