Sales rep (Ben) was great. Finance center was not. Price of car on website 22250, price of car at dealership 22850. They also add a mandatory 750 dollar security system / in Finance center was not. Price of car on website 22250, price of car at dealership 22850. They also add a mandatory 750 dollar security system / insurance bit to your contact without telling you until the end. I asked several times and was told I had to pay it even though it was an option amd not part of the base price of the car. Do not go here unless you want them to steal 1000 dollars from you. More
I had been diligently researching vehicles came across this Outlander, researched more and decided to inquire. I contacted the dealership we got in touch via email I then went to the dealership over the w this Outlander, researched more and decided to inquire. I contacted the dealership we got in touch via email I then went to the dealership over the weekend. At first a gentleman came out, I didn't catch his name but I told him I had been emailing with Jim. Jim came out I introduced myself as well as my partner. He seemed ok starting telling us about the car we took it for a test drive. Everything about the car was fine, a bit smaller than expected but fine. Once we got in started talking numbers I mentioned to Jim I had a pre qualification, I have excellent credit, etc. He comes back with a horrible apr rate, assumed all the extras and padded the fees. I was frustrated at this point as was my partner. I tell him he needs a better rate and asked about the astronomical fees. He is stumbling over his words can't keep the lies straight, pulls up the Car Gurus page, and tries to tell us the fees are in the ad. No they weren't! The extra $1495 plus $729 was not in there. I tell him my concerns, ask about a better apr and just certain fees i was not wiling to pay. He comes back with a slightly better apr but still not even matching with what my pre-qualification was offering much as less trying to beat it. He wanted me to write down an apr but isn't that what you keep going to the financial office for to see what apr they can get me. He hadn't done a hard pull on my credit I assumed then. Also couldn't get passed this VTR/anti theft bull they install on all cars. It's an extra $729 that is not necessary and should be optional. I wanted that off, I didn't want to pay for it. So I told him so, at that point he got annoyed and started telling me there will be fees at any dealership I go to. I told him I was aware and doc fees things of that nature I am not disputing but those other fees I was not ok with. He kept trying to go on. My partner then told him I wasn't trying to argue to fees, she's not willing to pay so thank you but no deal. I got up started walking out, Jim then proceeds to mutter under his breath and touch my partner's arm pushing him out of his office. My partner told him not to touch him, he can walk by himself. Jim then is acting childish glaring and pissy towards us. I get out the door, my partner says what are you looking at man and Jim starts spewing expletives at my partner, my partner did the same. Jim was still going on as we get into my car and are leaving. 10 min later I get back to back calls from the dealership as well as a manager Ray telling me they didn't want to lose the deal over a few hundred dollars. I messaged back, the lack of respect and unprofessionalism Jim displayed I wasn't ok with, thanks but no thanks. Ray said ok. Next day, I get alerts on my credit, come to find out they run a hard pull on my credit anyway, after I left after I told them I wouldn't be back. They still decide to pull my credit just to what, spite me? I will never recommend this dealership, although the price on the car I liked, the complete unprofessional arrogant attitude was absolutely uncalled for. More

Scammed by Chapman. A Network of Dealers to avoid I purchased a 2019 Lincoln that was supposed to go through a 150 Point Inspection. This to, most importantly include safety protocols. This was never I purchased a 2019 Lincoln that was supposed to go through a 150 Point Inspection. This to, most importantly include safety protocols. This was never done, as I soon discovered. The tires were each 10 pounds under inflated, or more. The Alignment was way off, an oil change had not been done, and the tires needed to be replaced. A couple of months later I am still attempting to get this corrected. Further, although I paid cash I had to wait 16 days for a Title, and an option that I declined ($299) appeared on my Invoice. Honest, dedicated, and unbelievably helpful Can’t thank the team here enough for their assistance and diligence with getting me in my new Corvette. Julie and the financial team were 100% transpa Can’t thank the team here enough for their assistance and diligence with getting me in my new Corvette. Julie and the financial team were 100% transparent and professional throughout the entire process. I would have to say after searching around several places, even nationwide, this dealership has not only the best prices (seriously try and match them) but the best sales team. They really do want their sale to be right for the customer even if it means adding more on their end to the deal. Honesty really is their policy and I couldn’t feel better about my purchase. 10/10 would absolutely recommend them. More
Great Service Great Deals Overall great experience. I have been searching for a while. Going thru hundreds of trucks on Cargurus, TrueCar, Autotrader, Cars.com, and several w Overall great experience. I have been searching for a while. Going thru hundreds of trucks on Cargurus, TrueCar, Autotrader, Cars.com, and several websites of dealership inventories. Found one that was in my price range with everything I wanted on it and decided to go take a look at it. Had no intention of purchasing that day. Took it for a test drive and immediately loved it. I had no trade and was going to pay cash. Price was fair but was looking for of course a better deal. No pressure from salesman or sales manager whatsoever. Very casual on price talk but info about the vehicle was over the top. My Salesman Sammy was very informative& helpful but he brought out his sales manager Robert who used to sell the truck I was looking at. He was a living, walking, breathing owners manual. He spent 30-40 min going over interior & exterior features and also compared them to the other brands in the same class. So after taking in all this info I made an offer. We could not come to an agreement and parted ways. After going home and looking at some more trucks with similar features, I realized that this was a fair deal and way to nice a truck to pass up. I purchased it the next day. I believe I was treated fairly without the usual games dealers play. Great experience with Chapman, Sammy my salesman, Robert the sales manager, and Brian & RC in finance dept. Great job & teamwork gentlemen. Keep up the good work. More
Horrible experience I would like to start off my saying the Chapman Auto Group is a horrible company to purchase a vehicle from, but this location on McDowell is by far t I would like to start off my saying the Chapman Auto Group is a horrible company to purchase a vehicle from, but this location on McDowell is by far the absolute worst. I tried to purchase a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle turbo that was very heavily modified on 04/28/2019. The entire sales team and management were aware they were selling a modified vehicle and was even told by my salesman they don’t sell modified vehicles like this. I test drove the vehicle and loved it. It was the exact price that I wanted. I filled out a credit application and was told that I had 2 approvals on financing. I told them great I didn’t want to take the vehicle without a guaranteed yes on financing. I signed all of the paperwork and was told I had to purchase R.E.D system as it was installed in the vehicle. The R.E.D system is a huge scam. The system is to have the 3rd brake lamp flash a number of times before coming on solid to alert the drive behind you faster that the brakes are applied. I told them I did not want that and they told me it’s already in the vehicle that I had to purchase it. Upon being followed home from the dealership 4/28 we found the 3rd brake light did not flash at all no matter what speed the brakes were applied. I immediately knew this dealership scammed me out of $399.00. Also, on my drive home the check engine light came on about 15 miles into the drive. I did some research on the turbocharger under boost code and found that it was related to the aftermarket APR ECM tune that was installed in the vehicle. I called the very next day early in the morning on 04/29 to let the manager know the check engine light had come on. I left a message for the sales manager and did not get a call back. I took it upon myself to have the issue addressed and took the vehicle to an APR authorized dealer and was told the ECM needed to be updated and also the intake on the vehicle was incorrect due to the type of tune on the vehicle and was going to start causing damage to the turbo and also the intake system of the vehicle. I spent $932.84 to have the ECM updated and intake replaced so the engine light would go off. The tuner also notified me that the aftermarket wheels the vehicle was sold with were not correct for the vehicle and unsafe as the wheels do no sit on the vehicles hub bearing correctly. I took it upon myself to go purchase a set of wheels that would be safe and that actually fit the vehicle so I didn’t have to worry about one flying off during my 80 mile commute to and from work. I received a call from RC the finance director on 5/03 saying they have been trying to get ahold of me (they called an old number that I did not list on anything I filled out) and that they were having financing problems but not to worry I would get financed. I submitted to him documents he needed. I got a text on 5/10/2019 that I needed to come into the dealership. Upon the arrival at the dealership with my fiancé I was treated extremely rude by RC and his very poor attitude. He felt as though he could speak to us however he wanted because he was the director of finance. He made me feel very uncomfortable by commitments he made after finding out I was gay. I am over the games with this dealership and have returned this car that has turned out to be a nightmare of a purchase. I would no recommend this dealership at all. I feel very uncomfortable with any Chapman dealership because of the comments that were made regarding my sexual orientation. I would stay far away from them. They steal, sell unsafe vehicles and make you as the customer feel all around horrible. More
