Visited the Okeechobee, FL location twice in a 2 day period. Salesman kept pushing me toward huge expensive RVs even after I explained what I was really looking for. Didn't think much of it. That kind of thing is expected when dealing with salesmen. Kudos to him for trying, I guess. I shrugged it off and looked around until I found a unit I was interested in. Went inside to talk to the salesman. Dude demanded I give him my driver's license before he would tell me the price. Claimed it was so he could get me the "best price." I walked. I'm not going to walk into the "identity pricing" trap. All anyone needs to run a soft pull on your credit rating is your driver's license. He was going to check my scores and see what I qualified for, then drive the price up based on that. Pathetically transparent attempt to screw me over. They know exactly how much that thing costs wholesale. They know exactly how much they can sell it for and still turn a profit. I knew the national range of what it costs at retail before I approached them. I wanted to see where they stood in the lineup. And this guy tried to run a game on me. Adding more to the list: their GM was trying to up-sell me on an extended warranty (most of which are utterly useless rip-off tactics) before I even picked a unit I liked. Same guy also flat out lied to me about Jayco's warranty policy (yes, I checked before I asked him, and he outright LIED). Never thought I would see Camping World tactics in a small time outfit like this. Guess I was wrong. I'll never do business with this company, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. Word to the wise business owner: there is this thing called THE INTERNET. It's full of information. Smart buyers know the answers to their questions before they set foot on your lot. We know your tricks. We know the price ranges. We know the policies. Learn to spot the smart ones, treat them HONESTLY, and you might make a big sale. Or keep pretending we still live in the 80s and continue to lose money. Your choice, guys. More

I do not recommend purchasing from this dealership. We have a had the absolute worst experience purchasing our first camper. Everyone we encountered from the salesman to Brent the manager was dishonest We have a had the absolute worst experience purchasing our first camper. Everyone we encountered from the salesman to Brent the manager was dishonest and non-responsive to our questions or issues. From jump the techs did not know anything about our camper and used inappropriate equipment and unsafe methods to secure it to our truck. We noticed immediately upon getting the camper home that it was filthy despite paying a large preparation fee to the dealership. We also noticed that the required hand crank to load and unload the camper was no where to be found. We contacted them right away regarding this since it is a required piece of equipment according to the manufacturer and their staff unapproved equipment to load our camper. After almost 3 months of owning a camper we cannot use and being completely ignored by Brent, his staff, and SunTrek campers, we finally have the crank and will never do any business with Chesaco or SunTrek campers again. Ordered a new 3800rk last year. Multiple issues including high end parts. For instance, the forward AC unit never worked. I emailed the the company last spring and of course they said I had to bring it in ( even tho I own an RV repair business.) I get it. I could not get it there until the fall. Mean while, I went on the roof and the cowling/cover had beed smashed and was crudely plastic welded and bowed looked like crap, when we took the cover off, the unit looked like it had been dropped on its head. The compressor was listing 20 to 25 degrees and 2 or the 3 bolts holding it on to the frame were busted. The black wire to the compressor was sheered off as the cap covering the terminals was smashed the cover hit so hard against the wire it cut it clean in half. Videos were taken. After fixing the wire with a wire nut and not a shrink wrapped connector ( it was meant to be a temp thing to show the dealer) the unit replacement was denied because the wire nut was on it. It was a complete scheme to defraud us and now we have to litigate. You would think the dealer would be advocating as their reputation is at stake. Nope they have had the rig 3.5 months and won't respond to progress report requests. There are other big issues but the one I stated is criminal. Still waiting from answers, I am dealing with the Joppa store because low and behold the store near my house closed their repair shop this fall and we had to bring it 2 hours to the Joppa store. After 2 months of trying to talk to the store manager, he has yet to answer an email or the phone. THAT IS INSANE to do business like that. I would like to let everyone know how Chesaco RV in Joppa runs their business. About a month ago, I went to purchase an RV. I worked with Regina - a lovely woman. She is very helpful and kind. Regina then asked if I would put any cash down. I said, "I supposed I could put $2000 down". She requested my Credit Card (as that is what I said I would use). I asked, "do you not see if I am approved before you run my CC?" "No, I am sorry. This is not how they do it. We run your credit card and then see if you are approved." Because I know I will be approved (based on my 753 credit score), I accepted it and handed over my cc. When I looked at my credit card online, I noticed $2060 was charged. I asked what the $60 was for, Regina did not know. I said, "I suppose it might be a 3% fee that credit cards are now charging for using it" and I accepted it, no problem (again - thinking I would be approved). Apparently, something happened to which I was not approved with my own bank (I will deal with later and uses Equifax) at 5.74%, but approved (verbally) with another bank at 11.99%. I refused those terms and conditions, as I am not paying double interest. I requested to cancel the transaction and to refund my $2060. They refunded my $2000, but not my $60. Now, I have been dealing with my dad (passed on 1/15) down in Tennessee and have not had a chance until today to address this $60. I called and explained exactly how I have written for you and would like my $60 back. He explained that he could not refund the $60 because it is the credit card issue and not their responsibility. ::side note:: I have owned a business and remember when a transaction is reimbursed, my company would also be reimbursed the fee. I asked, "is this how you do business?" "No, this is how the credit card does business" "Not that part, I am speaking on first, you don't tell your customers there is a 3% fee added on to any credit card charge..." "It is all over the building" ::side note:: I can honestly say, I do not know. But, I am very observant in reading signs, but I may have missed it. Okay, I will give you that one. Especially, if I was approved, no big deaL. "And what about the part where instead of making sure your client is approved, you just charge their card and then say, 'oh well, your out $$$ even though you weren't approved" "Yes, that is how we do business. We do take your money before we see if you are approved because if someone comes in and puts money down on the same item, it becomes their possession" ::side note:: Is he serious? This is absolutely the single worst customer service experience of my adult life and I am 52 years old. They only did about 80% of what should have been inspected, gave me excuses for the remaining 20% of the unfinished work… then didn’t want to give me my unit on a Saturday. A word to the wise… go to literally ANY OTHER dealership… this place has no clue what customer service is. I’ve s-open to two other friends who also had horrible experiences. Stay Away! More

This was one of the worst dealerships I had ever worked with in my entire life. Very poor customer service, lots of lies and misinformation. I drove four hours to buy a $250,000 motorhome that I was told was in perfect condition. It was a 2025 Jayco Seneca. After getting there, there were dents, gouges and rust. (they had sat on their lot for almost 300 days) They told me that they could only hold it if I gave them a $1000 nonrefundable deposit. I told them that would be fine as long as there is no damages or issues with the motorhome. Once we got there, it was in horrible condition. They told me they would give me my deposit back and almost a month later I have yet to see it. They will not even answer their phone now. I would recommend everyone running from the dealership. More

We purchased our camper a year ago, when we went to pick up our camper (which was scheduled) we had paid a company to meet us there and our camper was not fully ready, the eco coat was applied but they had up our camper (which was scheduled) we had paid a company to meet us there and our camper was not fully ready, the eco coat was applied but they had sealed dirt and grime inside and you could see the black running down the camper. We went back the following week when they said it would be ready… it was not! We waited 2 hours.. They had someone outside applying the eco coat (who never even let it dry and now we are battling mold, I’m so happy we purchased the eco coat…..). At that time we noticed a rip in the awning that was not there when we purchased the camper. We pointed this out to the employee who said ‘I may have ripped it, I didn’t notice’. We spoke with the service supervisor, Chuck who had told us that he would order a new awning; he stated with the back orders it may take some time and recommended that we see him in the Spring; this was okay as we paid to have our trailer moved 3 hours away and couldn’t pay to have it brought back to MD and then back to our permanent site again. He also promised many other things, including fixing our center console that their employees put a sticker on a small scratch that peeled the paint off. We spoke with him and had another employee witness named Brooke who was aware of the promise he made. We followed up several times with being told nothing but ‘everything is on back order’. Here it is, spring time and we call to follow up about the awning and we are told Chuck no longer works there (surprise! He was terrible). The employee stated she remembers us and the situation, we call speak with Lance, who speaks with owner and are told ‘Chuck didn’t leave any notes about this, there is nothing we can do’ and ‘Brooke can’t remember everything exactly’. Really convenient for them. The worst part about all of this has been the service, the service has been our complaint from day 1 and Chesaco was aware of this, I’ve sent emails and spoke with them, I even wrote a google review so this is not a surprise; we are not customers easily forgotten as they were embarrassed with the service we got but unfortunately not embarrassed enough to make things right. They care about the deal, not their customers. I would not recommend Chesaco to anyone that is expecting quality. It’s a shame too, because our family has purchased many campers from Chesaco. More

I’m only leaving one star because I can’t leave anything less if you want to buy from a dealership that only cares about the sale and after that, you’ll never hear from them again they will never answer the less if you want to buy from a dealership that only cares about the sale and after that, you’ll never hear from them again they will never answer the phone. No one will ever call you back been trying to call for a week now to ask about a part I ordered. Can’t even get an answer on that. No one calls you back not even the manager. Noah asked him three times. said he’d call me back by the end of the day for sure that was six days ago and each time you call either be busy on the phone with someone or not at their desk this was all after the sale before the sale. I got a good price at the Hershey show on a nice fifth wheel then when I finally sat down to do the paperwork, at their office the price was $8000 different. Then they give you some thing about that’s just how we move numbers around to get the financing. It’s really the price but no matter how you look at it it’s8k more. i’m not even gonna talk about how they’re going to screw you over on your trade-in don’t trade it in there sell it on your own actually I’m not saying sell it on your own. I’m saying don’t go there at all. You’ll be so sorry horrible dealership horrible service. More
