Great car and a great place to buy We needed a bigger vehicle as we are planning on taking cross country trips staying at KOA cabins. I considered two cars, a Honda CR-V and a Hyundai We needed a bigger vehicle as we are planning on taking cross country trips staying at KOA cabins. I considered two cars, a Honda CR-V and a Hyundai Tucson ECU. Ruled out the Honda due to the constant velocity transmission which made the Hyundai Tucson the car we would buy. I went to KBB site to build and price the car. A dealer in Santa Rosa contacted me concerning the car and gave me a great price. I contacted Chico Hyundai and they didn’t have the car I wanted but said they could get it for me. I told them that price and how the car handled as well as the trade in price would determine whether I purchased the car and they said they would get the car even without my firm commitment to buy. Chico Hyundai matched the price from the other dealer at which time the other dealer lowered their price by 500. I told Chico about the price change and they said they would attempt to match it. I said no need if Chico honored the first price and the agreed price on my trade we had a deal. When I arrived to drive the car and finalize the deal everything was as agreed so we filled out the paperwork and drove home in the new car. I guess I could have gotten Chico Hyundai to match the final price from the other dealer but that would have been me trying to change an agreeded upon deal and I wouldn’t have been happy if Chico had attempted to do that to me. This was a win win for Chico Hyundai and for us as well. Perhaps I could have gotten a lower price but not a better deal. More
