I arrived expecting an initial diagnostic or troubleshooting to be done, and thus had not pre-arranged alternate transportation. In the future, your schedulers should be very clear that no actual work will be happening at the appointment time so the customers can plan properly. After checking in my Jeep on a Thursday afternoon, apparently the service manager (Mary) neglected to sync her tablet with the service system, and so my Jeep sat unnoticed with no work happening for until the following Monday when I called to inquire about the status. I received a verbal apology for this delay from the service director (Shannon) during my call on Monday, but no apology or even awareness of the delay from the service manager herself (Mary). After all that, however, Shannon was fantastic about understanding my maintenance needs and working with me to resolve them. I've been driving Jeeps with significant aftermarket modifications for a few years now, and this is the first time I've ever seen a dealership have a working relationship with a local off-road shop. Most dealerships will simply dismiss my concerns immediately by blaming the aftermarket parts. Shannon spent time working with me and a local, reputable off-road shop to really get to the root cause of the issue. He even helped ensure that my steering setup maintained proper clearances for off-road driving. More
My appt was scheduled for 12. The service rep said it would take an hour. My car was not started on until after an hour of my appt because the appt ahead of me ran late. It would have been nice to have that communicates to me while I was waiting. when I asked how much longer it would be he would not give me an estimate and seemed annoyed that I needed to know how long it would take as I had plans and didn’t intend to be waiting that long.
