4th time to bring my 17 Escape in with Transmission issue. Before my warranty had expired, there was some sort of electrical issue that completely screwed up the transmission. When I got the car back I was to Before my warranty had expired, there was some sort of electrical issue that completely screwed up the transmission. When I got the car back I was told that it was "all fixed!". It was not, I could immediately tell that the transmission was still not right. It was slow to engage, sometimes it would lunge into gear. So, I brought the car back. This time, I don't know what they did, but they said they couldn't duplicate the problem. That was hard to believe. It didn't do it all the time, but it was regular enough. So, I took my car to City Garage and asked them to look at the issue. They came back with an error code and told me to go back to Ford. They said, it was probably under warranty and they couldn't fix it. So again, I made an appointment to bring it back in to Ford (where I bought the car brand new just 2.5 years ago - in fact, I have bought at least 5 cars from this dealership as well as my child (2 cars) and my husband (3 cars). 2 days later, nobody called me, so called..."Oh, your car is ready!". "Are you SURE??" I asked. It seemed unbelievable to me that they could of diagnosed the problem and fixed it that quickly. But, I was assured it was ready. So, On Friday, I went to pick up my car. As I was driving out of the dealership service area, I didn't get 100 yards away from the front door when the entire transmission locked up when shifting into second and screamed at me, then the car stopped dead in the middle of the street (blocking traffic) as it dumped it's transmission fluid on the ground. I had to put my flashers on, leave the car in the road, and run back to Don Davis to get someone to help. I was, at the very least hysterical. What if that had happened just 2 minutes later when I was pulling onto HWY 360 perhaps in front of a semi?? Nobody would have ever known it was because my dealership service department sent me out the door with a car they had NEVER TEST DRIVEN! Yes, I am very upset. I am still without a car. And now, because this transmission is shot, and this service department has not fixed the problem, NOBODY in their right mind will ever buy this car from me. There went $24,000 cash I spent at this dealership on a brand new car down the drain. The service manager Dee was extremely nice to me, that's the only good thing about this. More

The advisor left for the day without contacting me. I had to call the office prior to closing time to inquire about my car. I’m afraid if I didn’t call my vehicle would have remained for the next morning. Furthermore, I can’t tell you the last time I received a maintenance plan report. The appt before this one my tire pressure wasn’t checked and I had to inflate my tires on my own. Very disappointed in the service. Lincoln should separate their service from Ford. I felt like I got the “Ford” treatment. More
