My service event at Don Davis Ford wasn't good at all. It stretched from Monday 15 November 2021 afternoon 4:30-5:00 ish, when I dropped off our F250 to Saturday 20 November 2021 afternoon 3:30p when I g It stretched from Monday 15 November 2021 afternoon 4:30-5:00 ish, when I dropped off our F250 to Saturday 20 November 2021 afternoon 3:30p when I got the "final" call to pick it up. Brought in because of message displayed "Check Coolant 'additive'??" (sorry don't remember the exact word). I did look up the message online then and found out that it involved a special FORD coolant additive to the engine cooling system. BASICLY NEEDED TESTING TO CONFIRM IF THERE WAS ENOUGH TO BE VIABLE OR NOT. Additionally, we just had an engine trouble light display. A local auto parts store told me what the code was and what the problem might be connected to. (Appearantly there was some kind of issue/s with the DEF tank/system.) Lastly, we needed an oil change and tire rotation as it was time for the regular maintenance too. Recap; 1. Coolant issue, needed testing. 2 DEF tank related trouble light. 3 Maintenance (oil and rotation) STRANGE: Service advisor sent me a computer generated cell phone text about a $1,700 + repair for the DEF TANK and Heater replacement. Started calling, trying to reach him after I saw the message. BTW, had no idea this "text" would even be coming. When we spoke in person, said he would call me. So he finally called me back after my 3 attempts to call him. Said extended warranty covered the $1,700 Def tank & heater service. Next, was told coolant was aweful and needed flushed asap $129.00 (per service advisor) Wasn't able to get any information about the actual test results. Gave go ahead since I wasn't certain how old it was. Lastly, I suppose during tire rotation, found that front brake pads and "rotors" needed immediate REPLACEMENT. (over $600 repair). My wife, of 42yrs and I really appreciate and expect thorough inspection of "wear parts" when serviced. I.e. brakes, tires, fluids, filters, etc... What's WAY UNCALLED FOR IS BEING LIED TO ABOUT THE TRUE SERVICE NEEDS!!! OUR FRONT ROTORS DIDN'T NEED REPLACEMENT AT THIS TIME. ONLY BRAKE PADS were worn out. Can't stand thieves and liars. My TRUST LEVEL for the Don Davis Ford Service Department has evaporated. SHAME ON THIS OUTFIT FOR TRYING TO PAD MY SERVICE TICKET!!!!!!!! More
I was concerned when I went by to check on my truck status and found the truck was in the parking area and was left unlocked on two separate occasions. There is no reason for leaving the truck unlocked status and found the truck was in the parking area and was left unlocked on two separate occasions.
