I was quoted over $1,000 to replace a window regulator after I was already charged $183 just to diagnose the problem (at which time they also found 10 other accompanying “problems”). I promptly said no thank you and went to collect my vehicle. I took it to a reputable paint and body shop that replaced it for $200 TOTAL. I said “Surely there is a mistake. I am certain I owe more than $200.” The shop owner said, “We don’t charge for work that we don’t do.” There you have it folks! If you want to be charged for work that isn’t being done, then take it to the dealership for service and repair! More

Brought my car to have it repaired from an accident. I have very good vehicle insurance. It covered everything including a rental. There was a mishap with the payment from my insurance company. They put it in the mail instead of direct depositing it into my account. I continually got phone calls From the service rep asking when I was going to bring their vehicle back. I told him I had rental insurance and he said well it doesn’t show that on here now. Needless to say the very next day, they filed the rental on my car insurance. They called me to the extent of it making me feel like they thought I was a thief and not going to come back and pay for the repairs and pick up my vehicle. Why would I not wanna come pick my vehicle up? I’m paying for it and not even getting to use it and the rental wasn’t near as nice as my regular vehicle. More
