I have always thought Honda had good products and a friend in Ohio had just purchased a Honda CR V. She had done all the homework that should go into purchasing a car and I trusted her judgement. Mitch Long was very persuasive -- quiet, no hard sell-- and he wanted me to have what I wanted. I am very comfortable with my purchase. It gives me joy! More

Everyone was very nice and friendly. Could not have had a better experience in buying a new car. I went in looking for a used car and ended up buying a new one. The day after my car was serviced my son's Honda needed some emergency repair. I was able to contact Ray and he tried to help us over the phone with some service advice. He then offered to come into work on a day that he was scheduled off in order to help us resolve the issue. Thank God the issue was resolved in a few hours with the help of Ray and the service department. Thank you Ray for your willingness to help! More
I feel pretty disappointed with Coggin Honda. I sent an internet quote via their website, and the salesman called me. I told him directly that I was ready to buy the 2012 Honda Accord and I am just looking internet quote via their website, and the salesman called me. I told him directly that I was ready to buy the 2012 Honda Accord and I am just looking for the best deal I can get right now. I know that the 2013 models are on the way and they are fully redesigned, and if the 2012 accord price is not that good, then I would like to wait. (I know many people are in the same situation as me). If their offer is good, I would go there immediately. So the salesman told me that he will send me the OTD price. Then this is what I got: OTD $ 24,972.75 for Honda Accord 2012 LX standard without any add-ons. Are you kidding me?! I was so straightforward with you and you give me this quote? He told me that they can’t give me the best offer on the phone or email because they worry that I will use their price to go to another dealer. But they are the one who kept asking me where I got my information, and what prices other dealers have offered me! This is what the internet salesman’s email said: My job is to make sure I find the right vehicle for you that fits your budget, and with our 110% Price Protection Guarantee we will make sure you get the best price. And OTD $ 24,972.75 is the best price for a 2012 Honda Accord LX on 6/30/2012!! Really!?! I don’t know if the problem is because I am an international student and my English is not that good or because I am a women that he treated me like I am an idiot, but anyway, I feel terrible and I want to share my terrible experience to all the people on this forum. Be careful of this Honda dealer even if their reviews seem good! These dealers say they will beat any price from another dealership, but they never quote a reasonable price themselves. They just don’t want to make any offer. Here is the detail of the quote: MSRP$ 23,110.00 Their offer $ 20,886.61 DEALER INSTALLED EQUIPMENT Genuine Honda Protection Package (Mud Guards, Wheel Locks, Trunk Tray) $ 799.00 Tint (With Lifetime Guarantee) $ 299.00 Pin Stripe $ 199.00 Nitrogen Filled Tires w/ Lifetime Refill of Tires and 120 Days of Road Side Assistance $ 59.95 PRICE INCLUDING ACCESSORIES: $ 22,243.56 DEALER FEE $ 599.00 AMOUNT TAXABLE ON VEHICLE: $ 22,842.56 SALES TAX- STATE &COUNTY 7.5%: $ 1,713.19 ESTIMATE-COST OF LICENSE PLATE AND/OR TRANSFER OF PLATE MAY VARY $ 360.00 PRIVATE TAG AGENCY FEES $ 55 WARRANTY ENFORCEMENT ACT FEE $ 2.00 TOTAL PRICE $ 24,972.75 More
I had an issue pop up on a 1 week old Pilot and Allison in service was able to rush me in and have the vehicle inspected for the problem. A few hours later the issue was resolved and I was on my way. I've in service was able to rush me in and have the vehicle inspected for the problem. A few hours later the issue was resolved and I was on my way. I've been buying Honda's for years and only deal with the Coggin dealerships since their sales and service are far superior to the competetion. More

After getting into his office, the finance manager David showed me a price list of the potential back-end I could purchase on my vehicle. I agreed to take the extended service contract, because the price seemed reasonable. When it came time to print up the final installment agreement, the price of the service agreement was much higher than what he had just shown me. Apparently, he claimed he had thought I wanted to go with a higher mileage warranty with better coverage. I hadn’t asked for any such thing, but I brushed it off as an honest mistake. He adjusted the term, and re-printed the contract. Once again, the term was longer than I asked for and the price much higher. So he had to print the contract yet again. Finally he had the numbers right. I’m glad I was on my toes and not just signing anything he put in front of me. I asked him to confirm, “Is the term of this warranty starting today or from the time the vehicle was first delivered as new?” He assured me the warranty started at signing and printed an in-service date on the contract to match. Luckily when I went home, I took the time to read over the fine print and found out he had outright lied to me. Even though the in-service date was printed as the date of signing, the back of the contract confirmed that an incorrect date printed on front would be over-ridden by January 1st of the vehicles’ model year. What I thought was a decent deal on a 7 year warranty turned out to be a worthless 2 ½ year warranty, a year of which would overlap with my certified warranty. That was the first issue. The second problem arose with the actual financing. When applying for financing I emphasized I didn’t want me credit “shot gunned” everywhere, and listed only 3 finance companies I wanted my information sent to; Ally, Vystar, and Chase, the only finance companies I have relationships with. The salesman even wrote these down when we negotiated the price to make sure my request was honored. And I thought it had been. When I went back to the dealership after the sale to have the bogus service contract removed from the paperwork, I asked that he send the loan through Vystar, because I knew the rate I would get and they were offering $100 back to finance through them. He confirmed that he would assign the loan to Vystar. To my surprise, today I received a welcome letter from Suntrust in the mail. Not only was it not Vystar as he had promised, but it wasn’t even one of the lenders that I told him he could submit my credit information to. Stay away from financing at this dealership. Make sure to have financing already lined up from an outside lender, and do not agree to any additional product; you can always get it cheaper elsewhere and often you're not even getting what you are told that you're signing up for. Kelly in Coggins Honda Service was the best I've ever worked with. He took care of the issue, made sure it was road tested and the issue fixed, hooked me up with a rental in record time, and I never even worked with.
