On the used car I purchased from Columbia Chevrolet, the transmission died after 4,000 miles. They are not standing behind the sale at all, and tell me that the (6 month) warranty was up by 10 days. But during a check in call I made to their service department, they told me it would be covered, and even gave me the part name they were waiting on. Now comes the UNBELIEVABLE part of the story. They told me that the service manager I talked to had me confused with another customer. So their apology to me during my 4 1/2 week wait while my car sat in their shop was, "Sorry, honest mistake, we confused you with a different customer!" (that ALSO had a 2017 Tahoe recently purchased from them that had a bad transmission, and had a warranty question.) Can you imagine, of all the gin joints, that there was a customer JUST LIKE ME. So weak. And again, their gift to me for my troubles was an inflated repair cost ($7,200.00) But they would discount it by $1,000.00 for my troubles. I called another reputable Chevrolet dealership in the area, gave them my VIN number, and asked for an estimate on a rebuilt transmission replacement. $6,200 - $6,400. Imagine my surprise!!!! Outrageous key price I just bought a key for my Chevrolet Express Van for $120!! I’ve bought 2 previous. The first was $80 + $160 for key fob the second key was $40. It’s like they flip a coin to see what today’s cost will be. I complained about the cost and was told they fluctuate and there was nothing nothing they could do. It was bad enough I had to make a trip there taking off work, due to a recall. I will not be visiting this dealership again. Sent from my iPad More
