We apologize this simple request came to this unneeded outcome. The conversation started amicably when you reached out to Franklyn and let him know that you could not renew your registration. Franklyn apologized and offered to pay for your renewal, as he was under the impression that we had made a mistake. To help you, our customer, he called our registry runner so she could investigate what went wrong with the renewal. We cannot forget the fact that you purchased this vehicle a year ago and our responsibility to register your vehicle was handled then and was legal for the year that transpired. Franklyn received the report from our runner that the problem for your renewal was some outstanding payments that the registry needed from you. He made the phone call to you with the information he had based on what you had requested the day before. You did not agree with this information and at some point you, Franklyn and your husband all lost your cool and unfortunately we arrived at an unhappy customer. Franklyn’s intentions and resolution for you were all with the best intentions and in an effort to keep our customer happy. Lost in these conversations was the true issue you were having which was not about a renewal, as your registration was good through 2017, but the plate year sticker that the registry is responsible for sending you. When we originally registered the car we give you stickers that the registry hands us which had you legal and registered up until the first year of ownership, after that any renewals or updates are between you and the registry. We are more than happy to help you in navigating what was needed, and as a result of finally finding out your true concern when you visited here, we were more than happy to give you a 2017 sticker that we had. The end result of this is not something we strive for and what started out as Franklyn trying to resolve a problem for you turned into this mess. He should not have continued in a war of words on the phone with yourself or your husband. His initial instinct and efforts were to help a customer which he attempted and lost in the communication was the real cause of the issue, which at some level we are both accountable for. As you saw in the end we had no problem helping you with the concern, whether it was a fault of ours or not. We don’t know if we can regain your confidence in us and just hope our past interactions and that our original intentions to assist you may be more evident as time passes. Unfortunately, it looks better if you put it this way however; my car was purchased in May which I should have received that 2017 sticker because I paid for it. The fact that this was brought to my attention on Friday, does not take away the fact that it should have been done as part of the process which I, as a customer trusted it was done. What ia owed, is not the issue as it is my responsibility. The same way it was your responsibility to provide the sticker when the car was purchased and all required payments were do. 1. Franklyn never offered to pay anything 2.Franklyn should have never approached a customer the way he did 3. Is not that I didn't agree with what he said but the fact that he chose to listen to himself over what I had to say. 4. When I said he was no help I decided to hang up to avoid arguments as he was already using an innapropriate tone and the he calls back twice? Seriously? 5. Thanks to Joel Cartagena who was able to listen without making assumptions and resolved the problem. 6. We can agree to disagree but to me, if a person is going to take hia frustrations on a customer, perhaps he/she is im the wrong field. Thanks and retrain your staff.
