Overall, I have had a good experience with Conklin Salina service during my last two visits. I was charged for parts broken during installation during my past third visit. My 2013 Toyota Sienna was having a engine warning light. I set up a time online to have it serviced, dropped off early before they opened and they had it diagnosed by noon. Easy to work with. He worked on it twice, ran UV die through the engine, replaced a plug and the air filters but it was still loosing Freon. He isolated the problem to a Freon leak in the dash and told me I would need to take it to the dealership for the repair but to tell them to focus on that. I took it to the dealership but when I told her that, she told me that was “rare”, that they’d run dye through the engine and they’d find the leak. I told her John was an excellent mechanic, he’d done that already but she insisted they would find the leak. She called later that day to say they found an O-ring leaking. They replaced it and refilled the Freon. It cost me $334, $100 higher than the original estimate! She said it was because they had to refill the Freon. My mechanic did that twice, replaced the air filters and the plug and his two bills totaled a little less than that, haha. She said it would’ve cost me a lot more if they would’ve torn into the dashboard. Actually it might’ve saved me money because within two days…the Freon was gone again. Wish she would’ve listened to me and not been quite so arrogant about what my mechanic had to say. More
